December 20, 2024.
Dear Esteemed Parents/Guardians,
Season's Greetings to you and your family! On behalf of the entire management and staff of El-Shaddai International School, Ikirun. I express our heartfelt appreciation for your continued support and partnership in shaping the academic success of your wards. As we conclude the first term of the 2024/2025 academic session, I am delighted to share some developments that reflect our unwavering commitment to excellence in education.
In line with the global shift toward digital learning and testing, the College section has successfully introduced Computer-Based Tests (CBT session) and examinations for our senior classes as we intend to extend this to other classes before the end of this academic. This initiative is a crucial preparation strategy of our students for external examinations such as JAMB, WAEC, and NECO. According to the Federal Government, WAEC and NECO are also set to transition to CBT in less than three-years from date (please see: https://tribuneonlineng.com/fg-sets-three-year-target-to.../ ). Thereby, putting us in a well-prepared position before the ex*****on of Federal Government’s Plan.
We are pleased to announce the revitalization of the JETS Club (Junior Engineers, Technicians, and Scientists) by the resumption of the second term. The JETS Club has a proud history of fostering curiosity and innovation among our students, and we aim to restore the glory that took us to national competitions in 2009. Our renewed focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects through the JETS Club will provide all students from Basic five (5) to SSS three (3) with opportunities to: Engage in hands-on projects and experiments, develop problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and explore their potential in scientific and technological fields. We encourage all students to participate actively as we work together to nurture the next generation of scientists, engineers, and innovators.
As we celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays, we kindly urge all parents/guardians to prioritize the safety of your children during this festive season. Supervise and support your wards as they complete their holiday assignments. The assignments are designed to keep their minds active and ensure a seamless resumption for the second term.
The resumption date for second term is on Monday, 6th January 2025 while our boarding student’s resumption date is Sunday January 5, 2025. Kindly ensure your wards return promptly and prepared for the term ahead.
We thank you once again for your trust and partnership in the academic and moral development of your children. May this holiday season bring joy, peace, and renewed strength to your families.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
Yours Faithfully,
Director.
