What began as a simple dream of helping people has today grown into a movement dedicated to empowering lives and building a better society.

Our journey started with the *Jeje Agba Fans Club*, where we were committed to assisting people within our little capabilities. We supported individuals with medical bills, provided financial and moral assistance to those in need, drilled boreholes for communities, and engaged in other forms of humanitarian support.

As time went on, we began to ask ourselves: “Is what we are doing really just an ordinary fans club?” We realised that the vision was much bigger than a social association. What started as a fans club evolved into a *foundation*, and from that foundation came the establishment of *JAF Vocational Training Centre (JAF VTC)*.

At JAF VTC, our vision is to give both young and old people the opportunity to *learn, develop, and advance their vocational skills*, freely and without discrimination.

We strongly believe that *when there is a skill in the hands of a young person, there is hope for a better future.* A skilled youth is better positioned to become self-reliant, create opportunities for others, and contribute positively to society. By empowering young people with practical skills, we believe we can help reduce idleness and crime while contributing to the development of our town, city, state, and nation.

By the *grace of Almighty Allah*, and through the generous support and philanthropic gestures of individuals, organisations, and well-wishers who believe in our vision, we have continued to grow.

On *8th August 2026*, we proudly celebrated a major milestone as *JAF Vocational Training Centre held its First Convocation and Matriculation Ceremony*, where *23 students graduated across different vocational skills*. Beyond the certificates they received, our graduates were also supported with *free equipment and learning materials* to help them begin their journey towards self-reliance.

This achievement is not the end of our journey. *It is only the beginning.*

Our dream is to reach more people, equip more hands, empower more families, and create a generation of skilled, confident, and productive individuals.

CONVOCATION ADDRESS BY THE FOUNDER AND VISIONEER OF JAF VOCATIONAL CENTRE

On the occasion of the Maiden Convocation Ceremony of JAF Vocational Centre

Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.

Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Alamin.

The Chairman of this occasion, our distinguished guests, respected elders, our parents and guardians, members of the management team, our dedicated instructors, our partners, friends of JAF Vocational Centre, and most importantly, our graduating students…

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Before I say anything today, I want to sincerely thank Almighty Allah.

Because standing here before you is not just a moment of celebration for me.

It is a moment of reflection.

It is a moment that reminds me of the journey.

It is a moment that reminds me that every vision has a beginning.

Today, as I look around this gathering, I cannot help but feel deeply grateful.

Some people may look around and see a big tent standing on a field.

But when I look around, I see something much bigger.

I see hope.

I see determination.

I see parents who sacrificed.

I see instructors who gave their best.

I see young men and women who chose to learn, grow, and prepare themselves for the future.

I see a dream that has become reality.

Today is not just a convocation.

Today is the beginning of a legacy.

There was a time when JAF Vocational Centre was only an idea in the heart.

There was no graduation ceremony.

There were no students wearing gowns.

There were no families gathered to celebrate success.

There was only a vision and the belief that with the right skills, lives could be transformed.

I have always believed that every individual has something valuable inside them.

Sometimes, all they need is the right environment, the right training, and someone who believes in them.

That belief is what gave birth to JAF Vocational Centre.

The journey has not always been easy.

Every meaningful vision comes with challenges.

There were moments of uncertainty.

There were moments when questions came.

There were moments when the road ahead looked difficult.

But through it all, Allah remained faithful.
