Today, I want to digress and share something unique I stumbled on... " the understanding that we are constantly inclined to evil desires, quick fix, easy way out, pleasures.." and ONLY ALLAH'S grace is what keeps us far from our souls inclination. Yusuf's (AS) made me understand, he didn't flee Potipher's wife because he is the purest of men, he fled her because Allah's mercy kept him from following his soul's desire.

This is not the first time I have read this particular part of the Quran but today it stood out to me.

May Allah continue to bestow his mercy on us and protect us from the evil of our own selves.
