Second - Tai Solarin College of Education
Third - Tai Solarin University of Education
Fourth - Tai Solarin Federal University of Education.

The nomenclature of this school will now be TASFUED, TAFUED or retains TASUED.

The school now joins FUNAAB, FUTI and Federal University of Medical Sciences, Abeokuta as one of the Federal institutions in Ogun State.

I am thrilled to fulfill my promise of promoting academic excellence for all students. Today, I visited the CBT center, where I ensured that our Direct Entry students were able to participate in the e-test.

I am delighted to report that my intervention was successful, and our Direct Entry students were able to take the e-test without any issues. This is a significant milestone in our efforts to promote inclusivity and equal opportunities for all students.

As we move forward, I urge all TASUEDITES to register their courses promptly to avoid any delays at the CBT center. It is essential that you complete your course registration on time to ensure a smooth and hassle-free academic experience.

If you encounter any issues with course registration, please do not hesitate to visit your course advisor. They are always available to provide guidance and support to ensure that you have a successful academic journey.

Abia State government uncovers ‘japa’ doctors who are still collecting salaries

The Abia State government said it has discovered that some doctors who left the state for greener pastures abroad are still collecting salaries

Governor Alex Otti announced this on December 21, 2023 at the International Conference Centre in Umuahia

Otti revealed that the ongoing digitalization of the state’s civil service has exposed the presence of these “ghost doctors” on the payroll, drawing undeserved remuneration despite their absence

“The ‘japa’ syndrome has indeed taken its toll on the health sector; however this administration is not leaving any stone unturned in addressing this challenge”

He noted that to end the ‘japa syndrome, the government has resolved to motivate its healthcare workers through prompt payment of their wages & the improvement of welfare packages that we will introduce in 2024

The governor also stated that his administration plans to hire more healthcare workers to strengthen the healthcare system.

Just In: FG declares December 25, December 26 and January 1 as public holidays.

The Federal Government has declared December, 25 & 26 2023, & January 1, 2024 as public holidays to mark Christmas & New Year’s Day celebrations, respectively.

This declaration was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, on behalf of the Federal Government on December 22nd, 2023, where he felicitated with Christians & all Nigerians at home & in the Diaspora on this occasion.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo enjoined Christians to emulate the life of Jesus Christ in his practice & teachings of humility, service, compassion & patience. He stressed that peace & security are critical prerequisites for economic development & prosperity.

The minister assured that the F.G under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will continue to put in place effective measures for the security of lives & property. He urged Nigerians to be security conscious & report any suspicious persons or activities to the nearest security agencies.

TASUED MANAGEMENT SUSPENDS 2ND SEMESTER EXAMINATIONS

Sequel to the recent unfortunate development in Abapawa Community, which involved some of our students, the University Management has suspended the ongoing second-semester examinations.

Consequently, Wednesday, 25th October 2023, has been declared examination free day for all students.

Students are to take note that the suspended examinations will resume on Thursday, 26th October 2023.

Members of the university community are strongly advised to remain vigilant regarding security matters and promptly report any suspected security concerns to the appropriate authorities.
