This time last year, we successfully organized the TeenSkills Initiative Skill Acquisition Programme, where students were trained in various practical, hands-on skills. The training focused on empowering students with vocational knowledge that can help them become creative, independent, and productive.
During the programme, the students were exposed to different skill areas such as tie and dye, catering, fruit juice production, and decoration. Each session was designed to give them practical experience, allowing them to learn by doing and develop confidence in their abilities.
One of the most exciting parts of the training was the tie and dye session, where the students created different beautiful and unique fabric designs using various techniques. Their creativity was truly impressive. I was given two of the designs produced during the session, and I decided to sew one of them into an outfit.
The cloth is not just a simple design; it represents creativity, learning, and the practical skills the students acquired during the training. It is a very unique and classic piece, and every time I wear it, it reminds me of the impact of TeensSkills Initiative and the importance of equipping young people with valuable life skills.
