Digital Skills Masterclass Mentorship Programme Begins

Following the successful completion of the Digital Skills Masterclass held at the Molusi College ICT Hub, we have commenced a four-month virtual mentorship programme designed to provide continued learning, guidance and practical support to outstanding participants of the onsite training.

This week, our participants took their learning a step further by exploring Problem-Solving Techniques and discovering how Artificial Intelligence (AI) can assist them in identifying problems, generating ideas and developing practical solutions. They are also learning Video Production and Editing using YouCut, turning their ideas into engaging digital content.

The programme is completely free of charge and will continue for the next four months, providing participants with opportunities to learn, practise, create, receive guidance and further develop their digital capabilities.

The onsite training may have ended, but the learning continues. This mentorship is another step towards developing confident, creative and solution-driven young people who can use technology to create opportunities and contribute meaningfully to their communities and the wider digital world.

The second week of the training focused on virtual learning, Artificial Intelligence, and video editing, providing students with the opportunity to strengthen their digital skills and explore the practical application of technology.

Through interactive online sessions, the students learned how to use Artificial Intelligence to develop creative ideas and solutions to real-world challenges. They were also introduced to video editing, where they explored how to transform their ideas into engaging digital content using modern editing tools and techniques.

The training encouraged creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, and digital expression, equipping the students with practical 21st-century skills that can support their education, personal development, and future career opportunities.

Today, our students took their learning beyond the classroom and put their knowledge of virtual assistance and GPS navigation to the test.

The challenge was simple but exciting: Find the Teacher! 😄

One of the teachers secretly hid at a location and shared his location with the students. The students were divided into groups, and each team had to use the GPS location provided to navigate their way to the hidden teacher.

What followed was an exciting combination of teamwork, critical thinking, technology, and problem-solving.

And the competition was real!

Group 1 emerged as the first team to successfully locate the teacher

This is what practical learning looks likestudents are not just listening to how technology works; they are using it to solve real-life challenges.

The Digital Skills Masterclass is becoming more interactive, practical, and engaging with every session, and we are excited to see our students discovering new possibilities with technology.

Within the past three days of our Digital Skills Masterclass, our students have been learning how to use Artificial Intelligence to create different graphic designs.

It has been amazing to see their ideas come to life as they explore AI tools, experiment with creativity, and develop practical digital skills.

From learning the basics to creating their own designs they are already making impressive progress.

This is just the beginning!

Day 2 was packed with practical learning as our students explored the exciting world of AI-powered video creation and learned how to create, develop, and grow their own YouTube channels.

The goal is not just to teach them digital tools, but to empower them to create, communicate, build an audience, and turn their ideas into opportunities.

A huge appreciation to all our dedicated facilitators for giving their time, knowledge, and expertise to make this learning experience impactful. Your contribution is helping to shape the next generation of digital creators.

As a parent, did you know that technology can help you monitor your children’s movement when they are away from home?

Today, we kicked off our Digital Skills Masterclass, organized by Creative KOBIT Solutions in partnership with the TeensSkills Advancement Initiative, and it was an exciting day of learning, creativity and collaboration.

The students were trained on how to:

📍 Share their location with their parents whenever they are going out, helping parents stay informed about their children’s whereabouts and safety.

🎨 Create professional graphics with AI tools, introducing them to the power of artificial intelligence in creative design.

🎥 Create and edit video content, equipping them with practical skills for storytelling, social media and future opportunities.

One of the highlights of today’s programme was the unity and inclusion among the students. Students from both private and public secondary schools came together to learn, collaborate and grow.

There was no discrimination everyone was simply a student. One platform, one learning environment and one shared goal: to equip young people with skills for the future.

And this is only Day 1!

The masterclass continues tomorrow with more practical digital skills, creativity and innovation.
