THE HOLOCAUST!
[The Cost Of Disobedience]
[I WAS BORN THERE! [PS.87:4-6] – PT. 16]
Disclaimer!
Considering the sensitive nature of the subject of this discourse; please be very aware that this tractate is not intended by any figment of my imagination to pillorize the Jews.
Far be it from me; I myself I am a Jew through Jesus Christ!
Else the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God of Israel, the God of my father King David, the God of my God, my Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ, my God and Father who has begotten me through the Redemption Blood of His first begotten Son [Jesus Christ] onto father Abraham and engrafted me into the Stock of Israel will look down and rebuke me in His sore displeasure.
But to present a theological [biblical] reflection on the relationship between disobedience and divine judgment; the suffering of the consequence, especially as seen in scriptural and natural history of the core children of Israel.
Above all, to serve as a clarion call to repentance; to turn the hearts of the children of Israel back wholly to the God of their fathers in all righteousness and truth and in reciprocity turn the heart of the God of their fathers back wholly to the children of Israel.
Therefore, the precise point of view of this study is: Couldn’t the Mighty God of Jacob, the Holy One of Israel have prevented THE HOLOCAUST?
If He didn’t, why?
With the above foundation in mind, there are no words or adjectives that could appropriately describe the horrendousness of holocaust of the Jews by the N***s.
Auschwitz was extremely sadistic, abominably inhuman, inconceivably barbaric and holistically condemnable.
An experience no human, not even animals should have ever been subjected to.
Over the years, as I constantly cringed at the mere thought or mention of the truculence of THE HOLOCAUST and lament over such preternatural cruelty, a strange nagging scriptural question kept poking at my heart:
“How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, EXCEPT THEIR ROCK HAD SOLD THEM, and the LORD had shut them up?” Deuteronomy 32:30.
As I ruminate over and over the question through the years, it eventually dawned on me that the scripture [God] is asking me; ‘could THE HOLOCAUST have happened to the Jews – My chosen and beloved people EXCEPT I THEIR ROCK HAD SOLD THEM?
It was a rude awakening; immediately the absurdity of me or anyone remotely imagining, whether consciously or unconsciously that the Mighty God of Jacob, who has undoubtedly proven Himself in myriads of ways and means could have folded His hands and watched mere mortals subject the apples of His eyes to such a dehumanizing annihilation without a valid reason became glaringly reprehensible.
In repentance, I was able for the first time to turn my bewilderment to God, face Him boldly and ask: Why did you let it happen?
He answered by leading me to begin by looking at the context of the question He has been asking me anytime the memory or discussion on THE HOLOCAUST came up.
Without hesitation, I rushed and began poring over the scriptures; verse 15 of Deuteronomy 32 started gripping me like teeth set on edge by sour grapes:
“But Jeshurun grew fat and kicked; You grew fat, you grew thick, you are obese! THEN HE FORSOOK GOD WHO MADE HIM, AND SCORNFULLY ESTEEMED THE ROCK OF HIS SALVATION.
[16] THEY PROVOKED HIM TO JEALOUSY WITH FOREIGN GODS; WITH ABOMINATIONS THEY PROVOKED HIM TO ANGER.
[17] THEY SACRIFICED TO DEMONS, NOT TO GOD, TO GODS THEY DID NOT KNOW, TO NEW GODS, NEW ARRIVALS THAT YOUR FATHERS DID NOT FEAR.
[18] OF THE ROCK WHO BEGOT YOU, YOU ARE UNMINDFUL, AND HAVE FORGOTTEN THE GOD WHO FATHERED YOU.
[19] “AND WHEN THE LORD SAW IT, HE SPURNED THEM, BECAUSE OF THE PROVOCATION OF HIS SONS AND HIS DAUGHTERS.
[20] AND HE SAID: ‘I WILL HIDE MY FACE FROM THEM, I WILL SEE WHAT THEIR END WILL BE, FOR THEY ARE A PERVERSE GENERATION, CHILDREN IN WHOM IS NO FAITH.
[21] THEY HAVE PROVOKED ME TO JEALOUSY BY WHAT IS NOT GOD; THEY HAVE MOVED ME TO ANGER BY THEIR FOOLISH IDOLS. BUT I WILL PROVOKE THEM TO JEALOUSY BY THOSE WHO ARE NOT A NATION; I WILL MOVE THEM TO ANGER BY A FOOLISH NATION.
[22] FOR A FIRE IS KINDLED IN MY ANGER, AND SHALL BURN TO THE LOWEST HELL; IT SHALL CONSUME THE EARTH WITH HER INCREASE, AND SET ON FIRE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE MOUNTAINS.
[23] ‘I WILL HEAP DISASTERS ON THEM; I WILL SPEND MY ARROWS ON THEM.
[24] THEY SHALL BE WASTED WITH HUNGER, DEVOURED BY PESTILENCE AND BITTER DESTRUCTION; I WILL ALSO SEND AGAINST THEM THE TEETH OF BEASTS, WITH THE POISON OF SERPENTS OF THE DUST.
[25] THE SWORD SHALL DESTROY OUTSIDE; THERE SHALL BE TERROR WITHIN FOR THE YOUNG MAN AND VIRGIN, THE NURSING CHILD WITH THE MAN OF GRAY HAIRS.
[26] I WOULD HAVE SAID, “I WILL DASH THEM IN PIECES, I WILL MAKE THE MEMORY OF THEM TO CEASE FROM AMONG MEN,”
[27] HAD I NOT FEARED THE WRATH OF THE ENEMY, LEST THEIR ADVERSARIES SHOULD MISUNDERSTAND, LEST THEY SHOULD SAY, “OUR HAND IS HIGH; AND IT IS NOT THE LORD WHO HAS DONE ALL THIS.”’
[28] “FOR THEY ARE A NATION VOID OF COUNSEL, NOR IS THERE ANY UNDERSTANDING IN THEM.
[29] OH, THAT THEY WERE WISE, THAT THEY UNDERSTOOD THIS, THAT THEY WOULD CONSIDER THEIR LATTER END!
Then the question:
[30] How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, UNLESS THEIR ROCK HAD SOLD THEM, AND THE LORD HAD SURRENDERED THEM?
[31] For their rock is not like our Rock, Even our enemies themselves being judges.
[35] VENGEANCE IS MINE, AND RECOMPENSE; THEIR FOOT SHALL SLIP IN DUE TIME; FOR THE DAY OF THEIR CALAMITY IS AT HAND, AND THE THINGS TO COME HASTEN UPON THEM.’
[36] “FOR THE LORD WILL JUDGE HIS PEOPLE AND HAVE COMPASSION ON HIS SERVANTS, WHEN HE SEES THAT THEIR POWER IS GONE, AND THERE IS NO ONE REMAINING, BOND OR FREE.
[37] HE WILL SAY: ‘WHERE ARE THEIR GODS, THE ROCK IN WHICH THEY SOUGHT REFUGE?
[38] WHO ATE THE FAT OF THEIR SACRIFICES, AND DRANK THE WINE OF THEIR DRINK OFFERING? LET THEM RISE AND HELP YOU, AND BE YOUR REFUGE.
[39] ‘NOW SEE THAT I, EVEN I, AM HE, AND THERE IS NO GOD BESIDES ME; I KILL AND I MAKE ALIVE; I WOUND AND I HEAL; NOR IS THERE ANY WHO CAN DELIVER FROM MY HAND.”
I went over and over verses 23-25 and 35:
23] ‘I WILL HEAP DISASTERS ON THEM; I WILL SPEND MY ARROWS ON THEM.
[35] VENGEANCE IS MINE, AND RECOMPENSE; THEIR FOOT SHALL SLIP IN DUE TIME; FOR THE DAY OF THEIR CALAMITY IS AT HAND, AND THE THINGS TO COME HASTEN UPON THEM.’
I sat there shaking my head in astony as each of the description of the punishment above paints a vivid picture of all the woes that has occurred to the Jews from the wilderness till the present.
More so, reading:
[26] I WOULD HAVE SAID, “I WILL DASH THEM IN PIECES, I WILL MAKE THE MEMORY OF THEM TO CEASE FROM AMONG MEN,”
27] HAD I NOT FEARED THE WRATH OF THE ENEMY, LEST THEIR ADVERSARIES SHOULD MISUNDERSTAND, LEST THEY SHOULD SAY, “OUR HAND IS HIGH; AND IT IS NOT THE LORD WHO HAS DONE ALL THIS.”’
In other words, if God had not considered what the enemies of Israel would say bragging that they were the ones who wiped them out:
Much more His promise;
“For though your people, O Israel, be as the sand of the sea, a remnant of them will return; The destruction decreed shall overflow with righteousness;”
Israel would only have been read about in the history books. See Isaiah 10:22.
The “futile ambition” some of Israel’s fierce enemies still hope they could carry out.
May the God of Israel look down and scatter their plans, lest they boast of their conceited sense of superiority.
The repercussions of elimination of Israel from human existence would have been catastrophic.
For one, the blessing of Abraham would not have come upon the Gentiles; the families of the earth will not be blessed – saved through the salvation of the Jews.
The mercy of God would have departed from the earth.
But thanks be to God for His faithfulness and mercies in all generations.
Then He said to me, “a much more broader context of Deuteronomy 32:30 began earlier, especially in chapter 28; The Curses Of Disobedience To My Laws.”
Reading to verse 15, it states:
“But it shall come to pass, IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THE VOICE OF THE LORD YOUR GOD, TO OBSERVE CAREFULLY ALL HIS COMMANDMENTS AND HIS STATUTES WHICH I COMMAND YOU TODAY, THAT ALL THESE CURSES WILL COME UPON YOU AND OVERTAKE YOU:
Verses 16 to 68 analysed every curse imaginable and unimaginable that would come on anyone who violates the law of God.
Reading through, it became profoundly apparent that every calamity that has befallen any Jew, home or abroad has been primarily because of disobedience to the laws of his God.
My mind flashed back to The Blessings Of Obedience He stated in verses 1 to 14 of Deuteronomy 28; I couldn’t help but pray that He gives us the ability to obey Him wholly, so that we may experience all the blessings He promised.
So far, we all have grieved and mourned over THE HOLOCAUST, commendably so, however, what isn’t praiseworthy is our continued avoidance of the question:
Why did the God of Israel before whom the people and nations tremble, whose eyes run throughout all the earth to show Himself mighty on behalf of those who trust in Him and whose mercies reach the heavens allow such a heinous crime to be committed against the Jews - His beloved people?
It is in finding the answer to this question; coming to terms with the actual cause of all the disasters that have resulted to the innumerable distresses of the Jews, both natural born and adoptive, making amends – humbling ourselves in repentance that we all would come to the platform of national redemption:
1. We must admit wholeheartedly that what brought The Curse Of The Law upon us is our disobedience to the laws of our God – our inability to keep His commandments as He ordered us.
2. We must finally come to the realization that no one “of himself” has been able to keep faithfully all the laws of God, neither could we “by our sheer will power” keep all the laws of God without infringement.
3. But most importantly, we must become aware that God knows our vulnerabilities and in His loving kindness has established a means to make up for our deficit: THE BLOOD OF ATONEMENT; through which redemption from The Curse Of The Law – the resultant consequences of breaking His law is remitted.
As it is written:
“For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I HAVE GIVEN IT TO YOU UPON THE ALTAR TO MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS; FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT FOR THE SOUL.” Leviticus 17:11. See Leviticus 4:13-20, Hebrews 9:22-22.
4. We must also comprehend fully that by the established Principle of Atonement; without the shedding of blood there cannot be cleansing of our sins and consequently no redemption from The Curse Of The Law. See Leviticus 17:11; 4:13-20, Hebrews 9:22-22.
5. Above all, we must have a firm grasp of the fact that God having abolished the sacrifices of animals as means of atonement for the sins of the children of Israel [which is the main reason Israel has not sacrificed animals since the destruction of the second temple about two millennia ago] has made a much more worthy and acceptable substitution. See Psalms 40:6-8; 50:7-16, Hebrews 10:5-9.
It is written:
Galatians 3:10-13:
“For as many as are of the works of the law are under The Curse [Of The Law]; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”
But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”
Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”
CHRIST HAS REDEEMED US FROM THE CURSE OF THE LAW, HAVING BECOME A CURSE FOR US (FOR IT IS WRITTEN, “CURSED IS EVERYONE WHO HANGS ON A TREE”)
See Deuteronomy 21:23; 27:26.
Ephesians 1:3, 7:
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord JESUS CHRIST, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in CHRIST;
IN HIM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE.”
Hebrews 9:11-15:
But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation.
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.
For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh,
HOW MUCH MORE SHALL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHO THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT OFFERED HIMSELF WITHOUT SPOT TO GOD, CLEANSE YOUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS TO SERVE THE LIVING GOD?
And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.”
What is the summary of the scriptures quoted above?
The Blood of Jesus Christ is the only Blood of redemption of Israel from The Curse Of The Law.
It is in accepting Jesus Christ as God’s gift of redemption that all the promises of God concerning Israel will be fulfilled.
In conclusion, it is when Israel wholly returns to God through the process numerated above that antisemitism, especially of the severe kind, like The Holocaust, random killing, maiming and pickets targeting of the Jews around the world will come to an end.
Although hatred for the Jews, both natural born and adoptive [especially Christians] may not completely vanish, because of the innate jealousy of them as God’s chosen people, more so, because of the devil, the sworn enemy of God’s people using them, at least it will come down to the barest minimum.
It is written:
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” Psalms 34:19.
What does this portend or imply?
If been a true Jew – living in complete obedience to the commandments of the God of the Jews entails been persecuted in one form or another, whether harshly [fatal] or mildly [bearable]; the New Testament affirmation of Psalms 34:19 quoted above says:
“But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;
having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,
“But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, an evildoer, or as a busybody in other people’s matters.
Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in this matter.”
“May the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after we have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle us.” [1Peter 3:14-18; 4:15-16; 5:10.]

The New Covenant
[The Hope Of The Restoration Of The Fullness Of The Glory Of Israel]
[I WAS BORN THERE! [PS.87:4-6] – PT. 17]
Excerpts:
“It is written:
Jeremiah 31:31-34:
“Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”
Matthew 26:27-28: “Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
For THIS IS MY BLOOD OF “THE NEW COVENANT,” which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”
Hebrews 8:7-9:
“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second.
Finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah—
not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord...”
