SUMMARY OF OUR ACTIVITIES FOR THE MONTH OF NOVEMBER
On Wednesday 16th of November, 2016, an inter-school competition was organised by Iko Gateway Grammar School, Idiroko to mark her Literary and Debate week. Our dear school, St. Johns Academy, participated in the inter-school competition and bagged the second position in Quiz and third position in Poem Recitation. The total number of schools that participated was eight.
The result at Iko was good but not the best. Hence, we were charged to work harder and strive for the number one figure. On Thursday 24th of November, 2016, another inter-school competition was organised by Agosasa Community Senior Secondary School. As Usual, we stormed Ago with our heads held high. The result was indeed remarkable as our dear school participated in five events and got a prize in each of the events with nine schools participating. The breakdown of the results goes thus:
1. Debate 1st position
2. Quiz 1st position
3. Poem Recitation 1st position
4. Ewi Rendition 3rd position
5. Mock News 3rd position
To crown it all, our dear school was invited to represent Ipokia Local Government in a Public Speaking competition at Ilaro tagged ‘General Oladipupo Diya Public Speaking Competition’ which was scheduled for Monday, 28th November 2016. A total number of 15 schools were present. Schools such as Iganmode Grammar School, A.U.D, Yewa Egbado College, Best Legacy among others. With God’s support, our dear school took the first position and has been selected automatically to represent Yewa Division in the finals at Odogbolu, General Oladipo Diya’s hometown.
