2017/2018 ADMISSION EXERCISE:
NOTICE OF
ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
Notice is hereby given that the 2017
Unified
Tertiary Matriculation Examination
(UTME)
screening exercise will hold for
candidates who
chose Osun State University as their first
choice,
with a minimum score of 180 and above.
However,
candidates that scored less than 200
would not be
considered for admission into any of the
following
programmes:
Accounting
Economics,
Political Science,
Business Administration,
Nursing Science,
Law
Meanwhile candidates who chose any of
these
courses but scored less than 200 can
change to
any other relevant programme of their
choice.
COMPLETION OF APPLICATION FORMS
Candidates are to register on-line by
accessing the
University website: http://
www.uniosun.edu.ng or
http://admissions.uniosun.edu.ng to
complete and
submit applications. They are expected to
print two
(2) copies of the application form after
submission.
DIRECT ENTRY CANDIDATES
Direct Entry candidates should complete
the form
on-line, following the same process as
above and
ensure that they read the admission
requirements
of the university before applying to any of
its
programmes. They are also expected to
forward
their Academic Transcripts to the
Registrar of Osun
State University not later than 15
October, 2017.
ALL Direct Entry candidates including
those of
UNIOSUN (IJMB) Programme, who wish to
be
considered for admission into Osun State
University for the 2017/2018 academic
session,
must have obtained Direct Entry Forms
from JAMB.
Such candidates must apply for the
screening
exercise.
ELIGIBILITY
UNIOSUN will admit only candidates who
made at
least five (5) credit passes in SSCE/NECO/
NABTEB
in the relevant subjects at not more than
two
sittings except for Nursing and Law which
require
ONE sitting. The University also accepts a
minimum of Lower credit for Direct Entry
candidates.
Candidates should meticulously provide
their O'
Level results on the portal. Any candidate
that
provides false information would be
prosecuted by
law enforcement agencies and the
admission of
such candidates withdrawn once
discovered.
Candidates awaiting results should supply
it within
one week of release. Any candidate who
fails to
participate in the screening exercise will
not be
considered for admission.
CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING
SYSTEM

The 2017/2018 admission exercise will be
based
on Central Admission Processing System
(CAPS), a
system designed by Joint Admission and
Matriculation Board (JAMB) to automate
the
admissions process to tertiary institutions

ELIGIBILITY
1. Candidates who made Obafemi
Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife their First Choice
Institution in
the 2017/2018 UTME and scored 200 and
above;
2. Direct Entry (DE) Candidates who
chose Obafemi
Awolowo University, Ile-Ife;
3. UTME Candidates who recently
changed their
First Choice Institution to the Obafemi
Awolowo
University, Ile-Ife in the just concluded
JAMB
Change of Programme and scored 200
and above;
In addition to above, candidates must
possess at
least five (5) O’level credits, including
English
Language, at not more than two (2)
sittings.

METHOD OF APPLICATION
The applicants are required to login with
their
JAMB Registration Number to download
Remita
Retrieval Reference (RRR) and use it to
make
payment online or at any commercial
bank.

*2017/18 ADMISSION EXERCISE*

This is to inform prospective candidates who made University of Ibadan their first choice, parents and other stakeholders that following the Policy meeting chaired by the Honourable Minister of Education in Abuja on Tuesday, 22 August, 2017, the 2017/18 admission exercise in the University will commence very soon. Candidates are therefore requested to note the criteria for the admission exercise as listed below:

*UTME CUT-OFF POINT FOR THE UNIVERSITY*

The Institutional UTME cut-off point for the University is still 200 marks. Therefore, only candidates who scored 200 and above are eligible to participate in the screening exercise that will take place at a time to be announced later. For the avoidance of doubt, any candidate with a score below 200 will not be considered for the screening.

*POST UTME SCREENING*

Candidates are requested to note that a written post UTME screening exercise will be held at a date to be communicated very soon. To this effect, candidates are advised to be on the lookout for the date and other modalities for the written test. The authentic website from which all details about the post UTME exercise can be obtained is http://www.edu.ui.ng. The University will not take any responsibility for any misleading and fraudulent information that may be obtained from any other website apart from the official University website.

*CENTRAL ADMISSION PROCESSING SYSTEM (CAPS)*

The 2017/18 admission exercise will be based on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), a system designed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to automate the admissions process to tertiary institutions. The system introduces a number of innovations into the admission process. These include opportunities for candidates to confirm provisional admissions thus eliminating cases of multiple admission or ignorance about admission status. Candidates are therefore advised to familiarize themselves with the process to enable them check and track their admission status at any point in time on the JAMB portal.

*LOGIN IN OF BIODATA.*

Candidates will be able to login their biodata, prelude the post UTME screening with effect from the last week in August, 2017. Candidates should therefore be on the lookout for the opening of the portal. Please note that there will not be any extension to the closing date of the portal as the University is running behind schedule.
