Several years ago, the hype around the 3D printing industry seemed deafening. It is often been said that experience is the best teacher. I agree but not in the context of going through pain or learning through your mistakes.
Learning is qualitative and effective when the learners are in an environment that is conditioned for experience as opposed to acquisition of information with little or no understanding.
Experience combines three elements: knowledge, context and simulation. If these three are not the hallmark of learning, education is nothing but a scam.
