Adecom College of Business and Management recorded a highly successful and peaceful departmental by-election on 19 November 2025, with an impressive turnout from students across departments. The election took place in Lecture Room 5 and Lecture Room 1, involving the Department of Mass Communication, Hospitality Management, and the Faculty of Business and Management Studies.
The exercise was coordinated by the school’s Electoral Committee, which included Mrs. Elizabeth Odukogbe, Mr. Abiodun Olasupo, Mrs. Ajibogun Titilayo, Mr. Adeyinka Adekanje (HOD, Business Administration), Mr. Olusegun Francis (HOD, Public Administration), and other electoral personnel who ensured a smooth and transparent process.
Voting commenced at 1:00 PM and was conducted through the use of ballot papers. The Electoral Committee described the election as free, fair, and well-organized, with students commending the professional conduct of the exercise.
At the conclusion of the voting process, Ibrahim Fatimah emerged as the Department Governor, defeating Osunsanya Oladayo and Isiaka Halimat with a total of 59 votes. For the position of Financial Secretary, Oyinkansola Islamiyat won against Olaomo Oladoyin, securing 52 votes.
In her appreciation message, the newly elected Governor, Ibrahim Fatimah, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the students for their confidence in her leadership. She noted that she was motivated by her desire to serve and contribute positively to the department. Drawing from her experience as a former Financial Secretary at the faculty level, she affirmed her commitment to driving progress, fostering unity, and ensuring meaningful development.
Students who participated in the election praised the entire process, describing it as one of the most organized elections held within the department.
The newly elected executives are expected to assume office immediately.

Thanksgiving session as Adecom College of Business and Management rounds off the 1st and combined convocation with the Rector, Dr. Adewale Adesina and other prominent individuals of the institution.

Convocation Day 3: Novelty Match and Praise Session✅
Having started on a strong foot with the Awareness and Press Conference on Days I and 2 respectively, ADECOM College of Business and Management continued the week-long event by holding a novelty match and a praise session on Wednesday 12th, November 2025.
Both activities took place on the school's newly built pitch with cheers and huge turn up from students and staff.
The first match of the day ended in an 0-0 draw between the institution's staff football team and the players from the school's football team.
Subsequently, the school's main football team hosted the team from Da Boss Polytechnic and sent them back to Osogbo with a convincing 2-0 win.
About an hour later, the praise session kicked off with the school's praise team leading in an energetic praise and worship session.
More performances from acts like Yomi Mighty, Ola Apala, Openla and others had the crowd sweating it out, dancing to God.
The praise session marked the end of a fun-filled day with wins, dance and huge gratitude to God for the myriad of accomplishments achieved so far since the institution came into existence about 7 years ago.
Adecom College of Business and Management held her first-ever press conference on Tuesday 11th of November,2025 as part of the 1st combined Convocation ceremony.
At around 11am, the Rector, Dr. Adewale Adesina received media professionals from various media houses including the Tribune, The Nation and Agidigbo FM. He briefly dived back into how the school started in 2018, and began formal operations after approval of the NBTE in 2019 with 2 courses; currently, there are about 10 courses running in the school.
According to the Rector, the school will convocate 1711 students with 492 getting Higher National Diploma (HND) and 1219 getting National Diploma (ND) certificates. Amongst them are 5 distinction students, and hundreds of other finish with upper credits and lower credits and pass grades.
The convocation started yesterday with a rally to create awareness and publicity for the institution which is currently admitting students for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Giving the Pressmen an insight on the activities mapped out for the one-week event, the Rector said that there will be medical outreach targeted at about 500 people in and around Ibadan city. The outreach is a humanitarian effort meant to engage residents from the nooks and crannies of Ibadan in various clinical and medical tests. Physiotherapy, blood pressure, malaria, typhoid, breast scans and other related tests will be conducted by medical experts at the school premises on Thursday.
On infrastructural expansion, the Rector afirmed that that the school has recorded visible achievements since it migrated into Egbeda community from its primary campus in Adeoyo, Ring-Road, Ibadan in October 2022. He said that there is concrete plans for massive development in another 2 years as more classrooms and halls will be erected very soon.
As part of its plan for community-based development, the institution will embark on road repairs, covering large parts of Egbeda community in a collaborative initiative with the Local Government. This is aimed at repairing potholes and drainages so they can be in good condition.
Scholarship opportunities are also in place in a yearly basis for indigent students. The school collaborates with initiatives and individuals around the state and beyond; notably Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat of Agidigbo FM, and Kaffy- an educational consultancy firm in Lagos state.
Conclusively, the institution holds entrepreneurship as a pivotal part of its curriculum and does everything within its capacity to entrench that passion in its students so they can become not just employable graduates but employers of labour.
Lastly, the Rector assured students of getting the opportunity of getting international education in London where a reputable institution- York University is receiving potential students with open arms.

🎓 CONVOCATION DAY 2: PRESS CONFERENCE & FLAG UNVEILING
Today, November 11, 2025, marked another memorable day in the week-long celebration of Adecom College of Business and Management’s 1st Combined Convocation Ceremony.
The event began with the unveiling of the school, state, and national flags, symbolizing unity, growth, and a renewed commitment to excellence.
This was followed by a press conference held at exactly 11:00 a.m. in the school hall. In attendance were several notable media professionals, including:

During the conference, engaging questions and discussions were raised, to which the Rector, Dr. Adewale Adesina, gave clear and insightful responses. He emphasized Adecom’s commitment to infrastructural development, explaining that visible improvements across various faculties are already underway.
Dr. Adesina proudly revealed that 1,711 graduates have been produced by the college so far — 5 with Distinction, 32 with Upper Credit, while others finished with Lower Credit and Pass grades.
In addition, he announced upcoming initiatives such as a free medical outreach aimed at reaching over 500 people across Egbeda and other parts of Ibadan, as well as the grading of the access road leading from Egbeda Market to the school, a project that excited students and guests alike.
Before concluding, Dr. Adesina revealed that Adecom College has partnered with an international institution to provide postgraduate and professional study opportunities abroad for interested graduates.
It was indeed a day that reflected Adecom’s vision empowering minds, building futures, and making impact beyond the classroom. 🌍🎓

Convocation Day 1: Awareness/Rally
Today, November 10th, 2025, Adecom College of Business and Management kick-started her one-week celebration of its combined convocation ceremony with a general awareness and rally.
The rally began around 11am with about 3 buses converging students and staff of the institution journeying from the school's main campus and making stops at Egbeda junction, Iyana Ajia, then to Ikire- Osun state and back to Alakia, Ibadan.
Flyers containing information about the school’s current admission process were distributed at each of these points to pedestrians, car owners, passengers and shop owners.
With huge smiles on their faces, students and staff showed sheer dedication and commitment, beating the scorching sun to push publicity for the school
Also, participants recorded good reception from the majority of the people who collected the flyers, with many showing interest by asking questions and getting appropriate responses.
As we wind down on today’s activities, tomorrow has interesting activities: Press Conference, Unveiling of Flags and Launching of the school bus coming up.
