🐄 Al-Hijrah has a new arrival! 🎉

Assalamu Alaikum, Al-Hijrah family!

We have exciting news from home — one of our cows has given birth! 🐄❤️

At about 2:00 a.m. today, a beautiful new calf arrived safely, bringing another little member into the Al-Hijrah family (Livestock Farming). Alhamdulillah! 🤲

To all our students currently at home on holiday, here is something to make you feel a little less far away from school. And to our old students and alumni, especially those who remember our cows fondly — your beloved cows have not forgotten you! 😄

But this little arrival is particularly timely.

From the beginning of the new academic session in about two weeks, our SSS1 students will be introduced to Livestock Farming as a WAEC subject, in line with the Federal Government's new education policy and curriculum changes taking effect this September.

And what better way to introduce the subject than with real livestock breeding right here at Al-Hijrah?

Our students will not only learn Livestock Farming from textbooks. They will have the opportunity to observe, care for and learn from real animals — including the cows that have now welcomed a new member into our school community.

So, SSS1 students, when you return from holiday, don't be surprised if your classroom sometimes extends into the farm! 🐄📚

And to our old students who may be missing the cows: you were here before this little one arrived — but perhaps it's time to come back and say hello! 😄

Dear Al-Hijrah Parents,

We are pleased to share with you the performance of our students in the 2026 UTME examinations.

Current UTME Highlights:

*1. Highest Score*
Our highest-performing student achieved an impressive *327*.

*2. Average Score*
The overall average score of our students is *260*.

*3. Strong Student Performance*
*62.9%* of our students scored *250 and above*.

*4. Underaged Students Update*
Six of our students are currently underaged for university admission. One student has been cleared to proceed to Stage 2, which suggests that she scored above *320*, while the results of the remaining students are still being awaited.

*5. Admission Reality for Underaged Candidates*
Based on the outcome of the previous admission cycle, admission into universities remains extremely challenging for underaged candidates, when additional criteria are considered.

Subject: UNDERAGE STUDENTS UTME RESULTS UPDATE

Asalam alaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatuhu

Dear Al-Hijrah Parents,

We are pleased to inform you that the UTME results of all our six “underage” candidates have now been released.

This brings the total number of our current SSS3 students' results received to 39. One parent is still unable to access their child’s result at this time.

As it stands, our highest and lowest scores remain 357 and 210 respectively, while our average score has risen to 275. Further details are in the attached.
