Salam alaykum. I am Zeenah from Montreal,Canada. I am married with two kids.
My husband is an example of an ideal husband, pious, caring, responsible and forgiving.
Before I proceed, let me tell you briefly about my husband. He is a pious Muslim. I married him a virgin while I have had little fling before I married him, although I repented and true to my repentance. I told him about my deviations,he forgave me and promised to stand by me by Allah's permission. Since the day our marriage was consummated,he remains true with his promise.
Shortly after I gave birth to my second child,I fell sick. It was terrible. I thought it was my time to meet Allah. My husband fought for me with all he had. He went bankrupt. Sometimes I would cry but he would smile and say 'by Allah,Zeenah,I won't ever leave your side a second',he took care of me,our home and children. Alhamdulillah,Allah healed me.
I was healed, but my husband was in deep debt. He owed almost all the worlds. Because of me,he lost his job. Even I was healed and discharged,he borrowed more to take care of me.
One night I woke up in the middle of the night and found he was not by my side, and it was not yet his time for tahajudd. I went everywhere to look for him until I found him leaning on a wall in our visitor's room. I was shocked and sad. My dear Khamil was sobbing like kids. He was so down emotionally that he couldn't hear my worried footsteps.
I held him,we sobbed together, then I lost the strength of my legs that were shaking because of his grief. I was sobbing more. I was his grief. 'Khamil,I caused this...I ruined everything',I muttered, tears cascaded down like a flood.
'Honey,it isn't you. It is me. It is Allah. Astagfirullah,my sins,It may be them,it can't ever be you,Zeenah'.
He managed to take broken me inside, cuddled me while I was still sobbing. I slept off at the warm of his tortured body. He didn't pray tahajud that night, not that he slept off,but because he wouldn't want me to cry, again.
Then I had a dream. I was shown his inner bodies. I saw everything burnt and torn. I was shown where he treaded to give me comfort when I was sick,I saw thorns, cliffs, stormy oceans and battles. I broke into tears. I saw him doing something like waving bye to me. Then I woke up.
I knew I have to do more prayers.
Khamil had a righteous Sheikh who sometimes guide us. I sought Khamil's permission to see him. After much persuasion,he obliged.
' Alhamdullilah for everything. Allah is indeed kind to His slaves. When He loves a slave,He shows him what he's up to and ready to help him if he offers prayers. Surely, brother Khamil has reached the dead end,but Allah brings help from anywhere. Alhamdilillah, you're an ideal Muslimah. Don't fear,Allah hates to see a pious woman cry for a need. He would answer you.' The Sheikh gave me strength.
The Sheikh asked me to recite Attahiyat Lillah, one hundred times and Suratul Ikhlas thirty three times for seven days before I sleep.
I did it. Ma Shaa Allah. I am happy,my Khamil paid all the debts and got a better job.
I shared this story to tell any pious grieving Muslim that Allah is ever ready to cure any grief.
Alhamdulillah Robbil 'Aalameen!
