What Are You Preparing For? ❓❓❓❓❓

I remember a long time ago, I came across a passage in one of John C. Maxwell's book saying if he was to come spend 24hrs with anyone, he would be able to tell where the person's life is headed.

He further went on to stress that;

📌 As a matter of fact, each of us with the way we live our lives today, are preparing for something. The real question is what are you preparing for?

👉🏽 Is the way you are living your life now preparing you for success or failure?❓❓❓❓❓

📌 Most of us usually underestimate the power of Now; the effect that our daily routine is going to have on the long run. To know where your life is headed, take a look at your daily routines.

👉🏽 You are here now because of the decisions and choices you have made in the past & the way you have lived daily. Whatever you are doing now will determine where you will be tomorrow.

👉🏽 It is not what you do once in a while that makes a difference; you are what you repeatedly do. Trust me, every of your actions, routines and daily choices has a resultant effect on how far you will go in life.

📌 Change is seldom a question of capability; mostly a question of motivation. The same way success requires from an individual not more than he is capable of giving but often more than an average individual is willing to give 👌🏽

👉🏽 There is a very famous quote in Neurolinguistic Programming that goes thus; " To know and not to do is not to know".

👉🏽 It is not knowledge that is power. Knowledge is only Potential Power. Come to think of it; is there really any difference between someone who reads and never applies what he reads and someone who can't read? ❓❓❓

Applied knowledge is power.👌🏽

In this present information age, people can be categorized as ;

🔴 Dormant Ones : these are people who never invest in their own learning. They simply are not interested in self development. They are deprived due to their lack of knowledge. When you don't learn, you don't grow.

🔴 Learners : these are people who are committed to lifelong learning. The only tragic thing about them is that they will rather die than apply what they learn. They are Talkers. They are quite knowledgeable and they often boast with that. However, what they know is of no real benefit to them because they didn't apply it to their own lives and situation.

🔴 Doers : these are the best category of people. They are as well committed to lifelong learning; however, the good thing about them is that they learn to bridge the gap between knowledge and action.

How much of what they know that they apply is a distinguishing factor between people in this category👌🏽

A GREAT REMINDER!!!

All praise to Allah who has honoured us by making us Muslims & Who has sent His noble Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) to show mankind the path to salvation & to warn us against the path that leads to hellfire. We seek Allah's blessing on the Prophet (SAW) who departed this world having left no stone unturned as regards the matters of deen & life of a Muslim as confirmed by Allah declaring in the Quran that He has perfected the deen of Islam & completed His favours on it. We seek Allah's blessings on Muhammad's household & entire companions (Radiallahu anhum ajmoheen).

Allah made it clear that this (Sunnah) is His path & that Muhammad (PBUH) is His Prophet, & that we will only succeed by following Him, & anything & everything other than that is going to lead us to destruction even if it is under the banner of deen.

Allah said in the Quran (interpretation of meaning);

"O you who believe, obey Allah & obey the messenger..." (Al- Nisaa' 4:59)

"And whatever the messenger (Muhammad) gives you, take it, & whatever he forbids you, abstain (from it) & fear Allah" (Q59vs 7)

"But no, by your Lord, they can have no faith, until they make you (Muhammad) judge in all disputes between them & find in them no resistance against your decisions & accept them with full submission" (Al - Nisaa' 4:65)

Allah also warned against opposing the messenger when He said;

"... And let those who oppose the messenger's commandment beware, lest some fitnah (trials, afflictions etc.) befall them or a painful torment be inflicted on them" (Al- Nur 24:63)

As Muslims who believe in accountability, the Qur'an and the Sunnah should be sufficient for us in matters of our deen & also as the code of conduct for our living. Let us beware of following desires, as desires will only lead one astray and make one become dwellers of Hell. May Allah save us from such..

Don't be deceived, Wealth is not a Sign of Divine Pleasure!

Allah says in the Qur'an (interpretation of meaning);

"And were it not that mankind would have become of one community (of disbelievers), We would have provided for those who disbelieve in the Most Gracious, silver roofs for their houses, and elevators whereby they ascend",

"And for their houses, doors, and thrones on which they could recline,
And adornments of gold",

"Yet all this would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world. And the Hereafter with your Lord is for those who have Taqwa".
(Qur'an 43 vs 33-35).

And were it not that mankind would have become of one community,
means, "were it not for the fact that many ignorant people would think that Our giving them wealth was a sign that We love the person to whom We give it, and thus they would have agreed upon disbelief (become disbelievers) for the sake of wealth."

This is the view of Ibn Abbas, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, As-Suddi and others.

If not that all of us would have become disbelievers, Allah would have beautified this world only for the disbelievers as mentioned in the above verses.

Yet all this would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world.
means, all that belongs to this transient world which is insignificant before Allah. He hastens their reward for good deeds in the form of luxuries in this world, so that when they reach the Hereafter, they will have no good merits with Allah for which they may be rewarded, as was reported in the Sahih Hadith.

In the Two Sahihs and elsewhere, it is reported that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:

"Do not drink from vessels of gold and silver, and do not eat from plates of the same, for these things are for them in this world and for us in the Hereafter".

Allah has granted these things to them in this world because it is insignificant, as was reported by At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah via Abu Hazim from Sahl bin Sa`d, who said, "The Messenger of Allah said:

"If this world were worth a gnat's wing before Allah, He would never give a disbeliever a drink of water.''
At-Tirmidhi said: "Hasan Sahih.''

This is a clear message from Allah ; something to ponder on for the ones who can reason!

SUSTENANCE Pt1

We worry about rizq; our sustenance. Man is always in a state of despair when it comes to wealth. We are always worried (sometimes fearful) about how we are going to make it & survive in the future.

However, it is important that we remind ourselves that the sustenance (provision) of all creation has been decreed & written down 50000 years before the creation of heaven & earth. We learnt from authentic sources that the first creation of Allah is the "Pen" & the first command is for the pen to "write". Right then, everything that is to be from when Allah created the pen till the day of judgement was written in Lawh Al-Mahfooz.

It is proven from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that when the foetus in its mother’s womb is four months old, Allah sends an angel to breathe the soul into it and write down its provision, its lifespan and its deeds, and whether it is doomed or blessed.

Allah says in the Quran that nothing exist in the universe except with its own destiny.

As Muslims, we must believe firmly that our sustenance comes from Allah & it has been predestined. It neither comes from our work nor our boss, not because we are hard working or intelligent. It is only because Allah sent it to us.

Provision is however written down and connected to its means, and it does not increase or decrease. Among those means are that man should work to seek provision. Man must work hard to seek livelihood but must have Tawakkul - rely solely on Allah & not his own efforts for success.

Allah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“Verily, Allah is the All‑Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong”
[al-Dhaariyaat 51:58]

“And no moving (living) creature is there on earth but its provision is due from Allaah. And He knows its dwelling place and its deposit (in the uterus or grave). All is in a Clear Book (Al‑Lawh Al‑Mahfooz — the Book of Decrees with Allaah)”
[Hood 11:6]

“Who is he that can provide for you if He should withhold His provision? Nay, but they continue to be in pride, and (they) flee (from the truth)”
[al-Mulk 67:21]

Those are great words to ponder on for the one who can reason!

Your path to true Success; the final piece..

Allah says in an hadeeth Qudsi reported in sahih Bukhari that; "my servant keeps seeking nearness to me via acts of worship until I love him & when I love him, I become his ears with which he hears (Allah direct everything that he hears so that he only hears what is good for him), his eyes with which he sees (he only sees good), his hands with which he grasps (he does not act except in good) & his foot with which he walks (only walk toward that which is good for him) & if he asks of Me, I shall give him &if he seeks my protection, I shall protect him.."

In another Sahih hadeeth of the Prophet SAW reported by Imam Ahmad Rahimahullah in his musnad, "whoever makes this duniya his concern, Allah will increase his concerns (worries) & cause poverty & lack in front of him wherever he goes, & whoever's main concern is the akhira & Allah, Allah will reduce all his distractions & worries into one cause & Allah will bring a sense of abundance & richness into his heart; into his whole being & this world; this universe will serve him even if it is against its will.."

The Book of Allah & The Sunnah of Rosul SAW allows you to be in harmony & blend with the universe & when you do, right people will show up in your life, things will come right on time when you need them, things you pursue will run from you because they are not good for you in this life & the next. Your life will be rich in all sense when you attain the Friendship & Love of Allah SWT.

Blending with universal Principles; the path to true success & happiness! Part 2!

A person could lie & get away with the punishment now & think he has made it, what he doesn't know is that the consequence of that lie or act will surely come back to him (through the beautiful system of this universe) even if it is after a very long time that he would have forgotten the lie but no doubt, it will come back to him.

Allah will cause everything to return back to the truth; to its right course just that most people don't realize this; most of us don't comprehend.

The principles of honesty, fairness, equality, justice, equality, generosity, thankfulness, humility & the likes, speak the language of the universe. The shareeah of Islam allows you to blend with this universal principles that guarantees complete success & happiness. I put this to you, If you think your success lies in something against the shareeah of Allah (the principles of this universe), then you are shortsighted & looking at the wrong direction ...
