IBADAN STUDENTS UNION REINSTATES SUSPENDED PRESIDENT IN DRAMATIC PARLIAMENTARY SESSION

In a dramatic turn of events, the Federation of Ibadan Students Union (FIBSU) National Parliament has reinstated suspended president, Aare ABDULMUHMEEN Abdulganiy, popularly known as Ademola Confidence. The decision reached at a tense parliamentary sitting today, marks a significant shift in the ongoing power struggle within the student body.

The motion to reinstate the president was moved by the Chief Whip, sparking heated debate among parliamentarians. Hon. Comrade Isaac Sunday, in a powerful speech, seconded the motion, highlighting the need for unity and stability within the student union.

The decision to reinstate Ademola comes after weeks of intense scrutiny and public debate surrounding his suspension. The reasons for his initial suspension remain those listed at the last parliament summit but, the reinstatement suggests a potential resolution to the conflict.

Adding to the drama of the session, the SSA on Students Affairs to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Hon. Victor Oladejo, was present at the sitting, underscoring the significance of the event.

A SHIFT IN POWER DYNAMICS?

The reinstatement of Ademola could signal a shift in the power dynamics within FIBSU. It remains to be seen how the student body will react to this decision and whether it will lead to a period of stability or further conflict.

INDEPENDENT ELECTORAL COMMISSION
FEDERATION OF IBADAN STUDENTS' UNION (NATIONAL COUNCIL)

OFFICE OF THE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER.

SUMMARY OF THE 2024 ELECTION HELD ON SATURDAY, 17TH OF FEBRUARY 2024 AT BODE AMAO HALL, IBADAN HOUSE, OKE AREMO, IBADAN.

The peaceful Election commence at exactly 1:00am with the invitation of the Aspirants and their agents into the venue.
After proper arrangement, the Delegates were invited in using the list of Accredited chapters.
The election commence with the Aspirants voting first and the Delegates voting follow immediately.

The total Number of Accredited chapters was 47 which the Delegates expected were 94. Including the number of Aspirants (19) and the absence of one of the chapters makes the total vote expected to be one hundred and eleven (111).

The opposed posts were: President, Financial Secretary and the Public Relations Officer 2.

At the end of the election, all delegates and Aspirants were instructed to exit the venue of the election. Which only agents, Electoral Committees and the observers were left to collate the result.

At the end of the collation, The Electoral Chairman declare all unopposed candidate as the winner of their various post.
The Public Relations Officer 2 Election result record thus; Void =9, OLADITI OMOWUMI=38 and OWOLABI MOSES=64. Which OWOLABI MOSES was declared the winner of the seat.
The Financial Secretary Election result record thus; Void=5, ADENIRAN ABDULLAH=67 and LAWAL SAMAD=39. Which ADENIRAN ABDULLAH was declared the winner of the seat.

The President Election result record thus; Void=0, ADEDEJI VICTOR TOLUWANI=40 and ABDULMUHMEEN ABDULGANIY ADEMOLA=71. Which ABDULMUHMEEN ABDULGANIY ADEMOLA was declared the executive President elect of the noble association.
