The School Growth Strategy (Part I): Anything for the Mummies?

It's true that a beautiful school environment attracts prospective parents. High academic performance keeps them. But customer appreciation and rewards breed loyalty. When parents feel valued, they are less likely to leave your school for anotherβ€”no matter what happens.

So, I ask: as the academic session is rounding up, 'anything for the girls' (I mean mommies)? Ah! Don't forget the 'boys' tooβ€”because daddies' lives matter as well. πŸ˜„
Oh! I almost forgot the most important partβ€”they are the ones paying the bills.

There is a way to hold parents tightly by the wrist (figuratively o, before someone reports me πŸ˜„)._

Here are a few parent-appreciation ideas:
β€’ Parents attend the End-of-Session Party free of charge, yet enjoy delicious jollof rice, fried rice, a well-dressed chicken, and chilled Maltina.

β€’ Despite not paying for the party and eating to their satisfaction, some of them still go home with branded souvenirs such as:
- Umbrellas
- Raincoats
- Car air fresheners
- Table calendars/planners
- Wall clocks (the type that won't die after one year o 🫣)
- Ballpoint pens
- Table covers
- Towels
- And many more.

β€’ Some parents may even go home with awards and recognition.
β€’ The list goes on and on.
(But please remember to brand all your souvenirs o. It's a simple, g*te-crasher marketing strategy)

And don't stop there. You g*t to keep a few welcome-back gifts ready for them in the First Term of the new session.

Do these things and thank me later.

Now, I know there is a question doing 'kulumkulum' in your heart right now. You want to ask:

"Dr. Olofa, all these sound wonderful, but where will the money come from?"

Well... you will have to wait for Part II of this series. πŸ˜„

Making Early Years Teaching Easier and More Impactful

Lesson delivery has been one of the greatest challenges for many EYFS teachers. To some, it is draining and energy-sapping; to others, it feels confusing and difficult to manage effectively. Many educators struggle with keeping children attentive, balancing play with learning, managing transitions, and achieving meaningful learning outcomes without turning the classroom into a battle ground.

But classroom engagement in the Early Years was never designed to be stressful, rigid, or exhausting.

An effective EYFS classroom would be interactive, engaging, child-friendly, purposeful, and impactful, when instructors understand how young children learn, and what they should learn.

Through the right strategies, routines, learning environment, and teaching approaches, educators can create classrooms where children learn joyfully while teachers teach confidently.

At our June EYFS Framework Seminar, participants will gain practical insights into simplifying lesson delivery, improving classroom engagement, and creating meaningful learning experiences that truly align with Early Years best practices.

Free Webinar:
"Attention Span at the Preschool Level"

Preschool children are naturally active. Their attention span is usually short because their brains are still developing. A child may focus on one activity for only a few minutes before becoming distracted. That is normal, not rebellion in a tiny uniform.

How then could an Early Years teacher keep young learners actively engaged throughout the whole period without having a burn out?

To learn more, you would have to join this impactful FREE taster class. It is one of the featured topics from our forthcoming
"Best Practices in the EYFS Framework Training"
