Principles School founded by the proprietress Pastor Mrs. Tumi Olubode on September 13th 2010, lies in the heart of the beautiful part of Oluyole Estate in Ibadan, Nigeria.

The harmonious environment, in which the School is situated, is an ideal setting to cater for the needs of all our pupils. The School is housed in a purpose built block with modern and spacious classrooms, each with its own character.

Within our beautiful grounds, the school offers excellent facilities and resources. The Christian ethos of the school permeates its infrastructure.

Pupils at Principles School are educated academically, socially and spiritually.

Babies and toddlers are cared for in small groups to ensure that their every need is attended to. Each child is seen as an individual, with special unique qualities, we therefore aim to develop and enhance learning through experience and educational play. Babies and the Nursery Nurses bond on a personal level. They are much loved and are kept busy and active throughout the day both indoors and outside, to ensure a happy and fun packed environment. In a warm and caring environment, babies and toddlers become very sociable. Fun and adventure, socializing and exploring are the main aims in our crèche.

Parents are expected to provide baby food and beverages until babies are weaned. Food and beverages are provided for pupils. However, this is optional.

Our meals are healthy, nutritious and creative. We cater for all dietary needs. Good table manners are encouraged at meal times.

A high standard of hygiene is ensured at all times. Cot linen is washed regularly. All baby equipment is kept clean and well maintained. Babies and toddlers are cared for in a stimulating learning environment.

Physical Development

We focus on children developing physical control, mobility, awareness of space and manipulative skills in indoor and outdoor environments. They include establishing positive attitudes towards a healthy and active way of life.

Creative Development

We focus on the development of imagination and the ability to communicate and express ideas and feelings in creative ways.

Our children explore sound, colour, texture, shape, form and space in two and three dimensions. They respond in a variety of ways to what they see, hear, smell, touch and feel. Through art, music, dance, stories and imaginative play, they show an increasing ability to use their imagination to listen and to observe. We use a widening range of materials, suitable tools, instruments and other resources for children to express their ideas and communicate their feelings.

Entrance Requirements

Pupils may join our Crèche, Pre-Nursery and Primary by assessment. This involves an informal visit to the school every Wednesday; basic abilities, social and emotional behaviour are assessed.

Our creche opens Mondays to Fridays between 7.00am and 6.00pm.
