Condolence message from the Palynological Association of Nigeria on the sudden home-call of Professor Adetokunbo Sofoluwe, Vice-Chancellor University of Lagos.
Words are inadequate to express our utmost shock, grief and dismay on learning of the sudden passing away of Professor Adetokunbo Sofoluwe! Just under three weeks ago he bestowed on our Association the singular and historic honour of graciously declaring open our fifth international and national conference at the Julius Berger Hall, University of Lagos. His tremendous goodwill, financial and moral support contributed significantly to the success of that conference. We shall for ever cherish his remarkable conviviality and simplicity.
Our heartfelt sympathy and condolence go to his wife, children, and other close relations as well as the University of Lagos community. Let us all take consolation in the knowledge that he lived an exemplary and fulfilled life, and is now with his Lord and Saviour. Truly the Lord gives and the Lord takes away; blessed be the name of the Lord.
Professor M. Adebisi Sowunmi
National President, Palynological Association of Nigeria, on behalf of all members.
