π IGCSE 2026 β
It's not over until the last student crosses the finish line.
And today, our last Year 4 student crossed that IGCSE finish line!
This afternoon, our 2026 IGCSE examination season came to a close as our final Year 4 student completed their last examination.
In a new Year 4 tradition, every student came back to School in uniform one final time today and they waited together outside the exam hall for the last paper to finish. No one crossed the finish line alone. π€
As the final students stepped out, cheers erupted, hugs were shared, and a chapter came to an end. π
With the exams finally behind them, the students gathered to sign one another's uniforms. The shirts they had worn through years of classes, assemblies, and exams quickly filled with names and messages from the friends and teachers who had been part of the journey. βοΈπ
While Work Experience, the End of Year Production, and Graduation are still ahead before our Year 4 students finally say goodbye to IIS, today marked a major milestone: the end of their IGCSE examinations.
Congratulations, Year 4! We cannot wait to celebrate your results in August. πππ§‘π

Happy Nigeriaβs Childrenβs Day to the future of our world! π
18/05/2026
At Ibadan International School, we marked the International Day of the Boy Child last week with a special session for our Senior School students led by Chief Solomon Adewole.
Speaking on the theme βStrong Minds. Strong Hearts. Why Positive Masculinity Matters for Everyone,β he encouraged students to reflect on emotional well-being, identity, responsibility, empathy, and the pressures many boys face as they grow up.
At IIS, we are conscious that gender bias and harmful stereotypes can impact both girls and boys in different ways. We believe schools have an important role to play in creating environments where all students feel a sense of belonging and are supported to achieve their full potential. Conversations around positive masculinity, emotional intelligence, respect, and healthy relationships are an important part of that work.
We thank Chief Solomon Adewole for engaging our students in such a thoughtful and meaningful discussion. Happy International Day of the Boy Child! ππ§‘π

Happy Workersβ Day from all of us at IIS!
It takes a whole community to make IIS flourish.
Today, we celebrate our entire team - teachers, teaching assistants, our School leadership team, administrative staff, gardeners, cleaners, security personnel, drivers, and all those who work behind the scenes to keep our School running smoothly each day. Your dedication, professionalism, and care do not go unnoticed.
We also celebrate our parents, whose hard work and commitment make it possible for our students to learn, grow, and flourish each day.
We are grateful for you all. ππ§‘π

π Earth Day at IIS
We have only one Earth.
One shared home. One future.
Today, we are reminded that caring for our planet is our collective responsibility to each other and to the generations to come.
Through the eyes of our students, we see a world worth protecting - full of colour, life, and possibilities. May we continue to nurture that vision through our actions, choices, and everyday habits.
Together, we learn. Together, we care. Together, we protect our one Earth.
Happy Earth Day IIS! ππ§‘π

ππ¨ A-Peel-ing Artwork for Banana Day and World Art Day! π¨π
These vibrant banana-inspired creations by our students caught our attention and gave us the perfect reason to celebrate!
Today, the third Wednesday of April, is often marked as International Banana Day β a light-hearted celebration of one of the worldβs most familiar fruits. But this year, it also coincides with World Art Day, a global observance led by UNESCO that celebrates creativity, artistic expression, and the role of art in our lives.
And what better way to bring the two together?
From quick snacks to still-life inspiration, the humble banana has become a canvas for imagination transformed through bold colours, careful observation, and joyful creativity.
We love seeing how our students connect everyday experiences with artistic expression in ways that are both meaningful and unexpected.
When Banana Day and World Art Day fall on the same dateβ¦ you celebrate both! ππ¨
