We all know that when we work together, we can achieve peace. Peace in our homes. Peace in our workplaces. Peace in our communities. And peace in our nation.

Each of us has a role to play, because peacebuilding is not the job of one person; it is the effort of everyone, collectively and individually.

So, ask yourself today:
👉 What role am I playing in ensuring peace in my home?
👉 What role am I playing in promoting peace in my workplace?
👉 What am I doing to foster peace in my community, my state, and my country?

Remember, peace starts with me and you.
When we plant small gardens of peace around us, through kindness, understanding, and respect, they grow into a larger garden that transforms our society.

This week, make a conscious effort to be a peacemaker wherever you are.
Let your words heal, let your actions unite, and let your presence inspire calm.

Do you know that the Nigerian Army Peacekeeping Centre (NAPKC) has trained over 53,000 peacekeepers and delivered more than 230 courses since its establishment in 2004?

Also, are you aware that Nigeria is currently one of the largest UN contributing countries with military and civilian personnel deployed in ten UN peacekeeping operations?

Nigeria has made significant contributions to peacekeeping efforts globally.

Today, we, at the Young Changemakers Foundation, celebrate the power and potential of young people worldwide!This year’s theme, “Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond,” resonates with our core goals of impacting the community through the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 & 5.

From “No Poverty” to “Partnership for the Goals”, youths worldwide have driven positive change in their communities and today, we recognize and celebrate these youths.
