🌟 DAY 9 of 21: Focus on Understanding

📘 Term of the Day: ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder)

ADD is a type of ADHD without hyperactivity.
The person mostly struggles with focus and attention, not restlessness.

Children or adults with ADD may:
🔍 Get distracted easily
⚡ Have trouble staying on task
📝 Forget instructions or details

It’s not about being careless—it’s about the brain working differently.

With patience, structure, and the right strategies, they can succeed in school, work, and life.

💬 Do you know someone with ADD?

What’s one strategy you’ve seen help them focus better? Share in the comments 👇

🌟 DAY 7 of 21: Words Can Build or Break

📘 Term of the Day: Labelling

Labelling means giving a name to someone, often based on a condition, behavior, or ability—
but sometimes, it can lead to unfair treatment or judgment.

A label can help when it’s used to get the right support.
But when used carelessly, it can limit a child’s opportunities and self-esteem.

💡 Instead of saying: “He’s a slow learner,”
try: “He learns at his own pace.”

Let’s choose words that lift, not limit.

💬 What’s one positive way you think we can describe children with differences without hurting them?

🌟 DAY 2 of 21: Keep Learning, Keep Growing

📘 Term of the Day: Impairment

Impairment is a problem with a body part or (Disfunction) a loss of function in the body or mind.

It could affect sight, hearing, movement, speech, memory—or more.
But here’s the truth: Impairment is not the end of ability.

💭 Think about someone who can’t hear but uses sign language beautifully.
💭 Or someone who can’t walk but inspires others through their voice or art.

🛑 Let’s stop defining people by what’s “missing.”
✅ Start seeing what they’re still capable of.

💬 What examples of impairment have you come across in your work, school, or community?
Let’s talk in the comments. 👇👇

🌟 DAY 1 of 21: Let’s Talk About It
📘 Term of the Day: Disability

Disability is a condition that makes it harder for someone to do certain activities or interact with the world like others do.

It can affect how a person moves, learns, communicates, or behaves.
But it does not define their worth, potential, or ability to thrive.

🧠 Physical.
💬 Intellectual.
👀 Sensory.
❤️ Emotional.
Disabilities come in different forms—and each one deserves understanding, not pity.

📣 Let’s break the silence.
Let’s replace stigma with support and inclusion.

[DAY 1: Meet the Physiotherapist]

Movement is more than motion—it’s independence, confidence, and expression.
That’s where the Physiotherapist comes in.

In the world of special education, Physiotherapists are the movement experts.

They help children with physical challenges improve their motor skills, posture, balance, and mobility—turning small steps into big wins!

Whether it’s guiding a child to sit upright, walk with support, or build muscle tone for daily tasks, they partner closely with Special Educators to ensure learning isn’t held back by physical limitations.

Together, we build ability—one stretch, one step, one success at a time.
