If you only have 10 minutes today โ€” that's genuinely enough. ๐ŸŽน

Here's why:

Your fingers and brain build muscle memory through repetition over time, not through cramming.

Practicing 10 minutes every day for a week will move you further than one exhausting hour crammed into a single Saturday.

Think about it:

10 minutes today.
10 minutes tomorrow.
10 minutes the next day.

It may not feel like much in the moment.

But those small sessions add up.

Consistency beats intensity. Always.

So don't skip today's practice just because you don't have an hour free.

Sit down.

Set a timer for 10 minutes.

And practice.

That's the whole assignment. ๐ŸŽน๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐ŸŽน BEFORE YOU PLAY, WAKE UP YOUR FINGERS!

Your fingers need preparation too โ€” especially if you want to play with better control, independence, and confidence.

Just 2 minutes a day can make a huge difference.

Try this simple warm-up:

๐ŸŽน 1. RIGHT HAND
Place your fingers 1โ€“5 on five consecutive keys.
Play:

1 โ€“ 2 โ€“ 3 โ€“ 4 โ€“ 5 โ€“ 4 โ€“ 3 โ€“ 2 โ€“ 1

Go slowly and keep your hand relaxed.

๐ŸŽน 2. LEFT HAND
Do exactly the same with your left hand.
Focus on playing each note clearly without tension.

๐ŸŽน 3. BOTH HANDS
Now play the pattern with both hands together.
Start slowly. Focus on control, independence, and relaxed movement.

โญ KEY FOCUS:
Pay special attention to your 4th and 5th fingers. They are often the weakest, so don't neglect them.

Do this every day for 1 week and notice the difference.

You may experience:

โœ… Better finger independence
โœ… More strength and flexibility
โœ… Less stiffness and tension
โœ… Better preparation for playing

Here's a tip that took me years to fully appreciate as a teacher:

Your hands don't know "fast" or "slow." They only know repetition.

If you keep fumbling through a piece at full speed, you're not practicing the song โ€” you're practicing the mistakes.

And your hands will happily memorize those mistakes. ๐ŸŽน

Slow down.

Play it correctly at half speed (or even quarter speed) until it feels boring-easy. Then gradually speed up.

This one shift alone can fix more of those "I keep messing up the same part" problems than you might expect.
