This month in my public speaking class, I taught my learners about emotional intelligence and why every speaker must become an emotional detective.

Before you speak, you must observe.
While you speak, you must listen.
And as you speak, you must be sensitive enough to know when your audience is following, when they are confused, and when they are slowly drifting away.

That is what emotional awareness does.

It helps a speaker understand the feelings, reactions, and signals of the audience. It teaches you when to pause, when to adjust your tone, when to simplify your words, and when to connect more deeply.

The truth is, many people speak without reading the room. They talk, but they do not observe. They communicate, but they do not connect.

As a speaker, your words should not just be heard. They should be felt, understood, and remembered.

That is why emotional intelligence is not just important for adults. It is a skill children should learn early.

Children are unpredictable; you never can tell what their reaction would be to something, and you can't judge them based on their common behaviour.

A client reached out to enrol her daughter at 'Golden Kiddies Hub', and she was like, Her child is an introvert that doesn't talk with a stranger, so she thinks the online classes won't work for her.

I explained to her how we got the strategies to make our learners respond in the class no matter what. Yet she wasn't convinced; she said she would prefer a physical class because she stays in Ibadan, where I reside.

Then, I told her she should let me have a trial class with her, and if she doesn't respond, then she can think of the second option, which is a physical class.

I scheduled the trial class and I met my new learner; she was cool and calm, but to her mum's surprise, she responded so well in the class, she even told me she enjoyed the class.

That's how her mum was finally convinced that at Golden Kiddies Hub we possess techniques to make our learners love learning, and my new learner will be starting her class this weekend with the golden speech coach, also known as Teacher Kay.

These two words have different pronunciations likewise their meaning is different.

"Dairy" refers to a place where milk is processed and products such as cheese, butter, and yoghurt are made. It can also refer to the industry involved in the production and processing of milk and its products.

For example, "I work at a dairy farm where we produce fresh milk and cheese."

On the other hand, "diary" refers to a daily record or journal where one writes down their thoughts, experiences, or activities. It is a personal document where someone records their daily events and reflections.

For example, "She diligently wrote in her diary every night before going to bed."

In summary, "dairy" is related to milk and its products, while "diary" is a personal journal or record of daily activities and thoughts.
