Public speaking is a key skill we encourage in our students because it enhances communication, boosts confidence and self-esteem, and improves academic performance and participation. Our pupils are never left out in participating in Public Speaking contests. They always perform excellently well whenever they participate. In this year's edition of the Public Speaking Competition sponsored by Leadcity International School, Jericho Ibadan, our pupils came 3rd amongst other twelve prominent schools that participated. Blissful International School's senior secondary students in humanities and business classes took learning beyond the classroom! An exciting excursion to Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan, brought textbook lessons to life. The students met with honourables like Distinguished Deputy Speaker Hon. Abiodun Fadeyi, Hon. Mobaje Razak (Ido Constituency), and Hon. Olufunke Comforter Olajide (Ibadan North Constituency1) who shared insights on lawmaking and its societal impact. A tour of the departments showed them the inner workings of government operations. The trip was impactful, inspiring, and informative!
