The Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) will commence School on Air Video and Radio Broadcast, for the Secondary School students in Oyo State.

In view of the prevailing situation of COVID-19, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde has made an alternative structure for learning at home for all students, particularly SSS3 students who are at the verge of sitting for the WAEC and NECO.

Also, the students will be able to take advantage of e-library via the Ministry of Education website, www.oysgedu.ng to access learning materials and videos prepared by competent and experienced teachers.

All stakeholders (teachers, parents, guardians and students) are therefore called upon to assist the students at this critical time to take advantage of the Ministry of education e-library, self-assessment questions, e-school and also watch BCOS Television and Radio daily for the educational broadcast.

PRESIDENT BUHARI, THE CAUSE OF COVID '19 IN NIGERIA- Nigeria man

According to Enaholo Abel who wrote on his Facebook profile that President Buhari should be held accountable for the outbreak of the coronavirus in the country.

The young political scientist wrote;

..he(Buhari) should be held responsible for the death of any Nigerian from Covid '19 Pandemic

President Buhari remains the cause of Coronavirus Spread in Nigeria, he should be held responsible for the death of any Nigerian. How can a President be advised by the Nigerian Medical Association and the Diplomatic Communittee to Restrict Flight and Shut down the borders since February, but just because his daughter and Chief of Staff was in Europe, he deliberately refused and placed over 200 million Nigerians in Danger just to please his daughter and his close aid who is widely known to be responsible for the misrule happening in Nigeria today.

It may interest you to know that our flight became restricted the night Buhari's daughter and Chief of Staff returned to Nigeria, what a big pity! Even Atiku Abubakar for the love of the country as at 28th of February asked that the border be shot against his own son who was in oversea, but Buhari decided to destroy the country because of his daughter. Just imagine if the borders where restricted as at the time advised, would even the Italian enter the country, will Abba Kyari, Atiku's son and the rest of them come home to spread the virus?

Let the praise singers continue to sing his praises. Lai Mohammed is no longer talking, Adams Oshiomhole who caused the Crisis in APC that led to the NEC meeting of 16th March where the Covid '19 carriers went to spread the disease among Nigerian Governors and other top officials has long kept quiet. Let the defenders of these nonentities come out and defend them, let them come and say I am being political even when they know this is the exact truth, they don't want to hear the truth, they will soon come out and tell me to remove politics from the issue, they have lost their sense of reasoning and replaced it with the occupation of defense, what a big pity!

Corona virus: Oyo activates Emergency Operating Centres, names incident manager.

In its determined effort to stop the spread of the novel corona virus in the State, the Oyo State Task Force on COVID-19 has activated emergency Operating Centres (EOCs) in the State.
The Task Force headed by the State governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde also on Sunday named Dr. Taiwo Ladipo of the Ministry of Health as the Incident Manager in charge of the Operating Centres.
In addition, a five-member committee of experts has been approved to act as sub-committee for the EOCs.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, confirmed the above as some of the decisions reached at the second meeting of the COVID-19 Task Force held at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan, on Sunday.
The statement also quoted the State’s Commissioner for Health, Dr. Bashir Bello, as affirming the release of two dedicated lines to coordinate COVID-19 related emergencies.

The statement also confirmed that Dr. Bello, in a brief submitted to the Task Force indicated that the EOCs started 24-hour operations on Sunday, March 22, 2020.
According to Dr. Bello, the State Surveillance Team is directly following up the suspected corona virus case in the state.
The suspect was said to have recently arrived Oluyole, Ibadan, from the United States of America.
“It must be noted that she arrived in Nigeria on the 8th of March and today 22nd of March is her 14th day post arrival, which has thus completed the isolation period,” the statement read.
The statement re-emphasised the need for the people of Oyo State to observe standard procedures of engagement at this time by maintaining social distance, regular hand washing and use of sanitisers.
The statement further read: “We also encourage Nigerians returning from COVID-19 affected countries to maintain the globally accepted protocol by self-isolating for 14 days and reporting any untoward conditions to the State medical personnel.
“Let us also use this opportunity to reaffirm that all schools are to remain closed till after the Easter holidays and until the State re-evaluates the situation on ground.”
