Borno State practically Upheld it's ancestral Slogan of "CRADLE OF QUR'AN"
The smooth but incomparable conduct of the two-in-one National Qur'anic events, i.e 40th National Qur'anic Recitation competition and 40th anniversary of Musabaqa in Nigeria has spoken out a lot about the ancestral heritage of Borno Empire in the course of propagating Islam and upholding Qur'an and its general sciences.
Borno State hosted last national Musabaqa back then in 1987, Musabaqa was at its onset stage which entails facing bunch of challenges and obstacles here and there.
Now, after 38 years, history deemed to repeat itself but in an uncommon approach as Borno State Government, under the leadership of Gov. Babagana Umara Zulum demanded to host the event for the second time with deep intention of displaying an exceptional hostage, together with spirit of putting smile in the faces of Qur'an lovers across the country and beyond.
This year's event marked as the most prepared-for Musabaqa event having recorded the following milestone;
1. Record breaking, Budget allocation;Borno State was the first State to allot the sum of one billion Naira in the budget for the conduct of National Musabaqa
2. Luxurious Prize; The provision of brand new Tesla electric model cars for both male and female overall winners of the competition and other cars for the winners various categories has said an enough.
3. Generous Consolation prize; Awarding an exorbitant amount of money (two hundred thousand Naira N200,000, in cash) as consolation prize to all participants signalled generosity.
4. Top-notch accommodations; Provision of first-class hotels for both National and State's officials.
5. Delectable cuisine; a delicious and aromatic food was served to the participants, officials, passive observers and guests.
6. Showing high spirit of hospitality by the residents throughout the program.
7. Engaging top government officials to thoroughly supervise and checkmate the run of the event
8. Rewarding the unmatched contribution of National body (MUSABAQA FOUNDATION FOR QUR'ANIC RECITATION COMPETITION IN NIGERIA), Panel of judges and other officials with an expensive package worth thousands of Naira.
9. Massive turnout; attendance of the event by both residents and alien observers including Egyptian Arab men of Qur'an and Islamic civilization is a testimony to this point.
10. Unwavering Security; Deployment of well-equipped security personnel all over the city likewise accompanying participants and officials to their various destinations, to mention but few.
In the light of the aforementioned, the great APWON is registering it's profound gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Borno State, Members of the giant LOC and the entire Borno State's people for finding Qur'an worth of it and hereby attesting that the event's success is a beacon of hope for the region, demonstrating Borno's resilience and dedication to Islamic education.
May Allah secure Borno State from the act of nefarious gangs and their sponsors 🤲

All praise is due to Allah (SWT), the Lord of the worlds, whose divine guidance and mercy made the successful hosting of the National Qur’an Recitation Competition in Borno State a remarkable and memorable event. On behalf of the National Qur’an Recitation Competition Committee Oyo State Chapter, we extend our profound gratitude and heartfelt appreciation to all individuals, institutions, and organizations whose contributions ensured the resounding success of this year’s competition.
We sincerely appreciate our esteemed sponsors and partners for their unwavering financial, moral, and logistical support. Your commitment to the promotion of Qur’anic knowledge, memorization, and recitation continues to inspire excellence among our youth and strengthen the spiritual fabric of our nation. Without your generosity and vision, this noble gathering would not have achieved its outstanding standard.

Each participant is a winner, having honored themselves, their families, and their respective states.
In particular, we proudly congratulate ABDULJAWAD ABDULAZEEZ, who distinguished himself in the Fifth Category, emerging with flying colors. His exceptional performance is a testament to dedication, proper mentorship, and divine favor. We pray that Allah (SWT) grants him continued excellence, humility, and the ability to live by the teachings of the Qur’an he has so beautifully recited.
Finally, to everyone—individuals, institutions, religious bodies, and well-wishers—who contributed in any capacity to the success of this year’s competition, we say Jazakumullahu Khairan. May Allah reward you abundantly, accept your efforts as acts of worship, and grant us the opportunity to gather again in unity and excellence in future competitions.

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for the National Annual Qur’anic Recitation Competition, “Borno 2025”, hereby expresses its profound gratitude to all individuals and institutions that contributed to the successful hosting of the event.
