This weekend, take a moment with your children to reflect.

Instead of asking only,
"What did you do this week?"
Ask:
✨ What blessing are you most thankful for?
✨ What new skill did you learn?
✨ Who helped you this week?
✨ How did you help someone else?

Gratitude teaches children to recognise Allah's blessings, appreciate the people around them and approach life with contentment.

These quiet conversations often leave a deeper impact than grand activities.

May Allah make our children grateful, humble and eager to use every blessing in ways that please Him.

Ameen.

🤲 Encourage your child to mention three things they are grateful for today, then share one of yours in the comments.

One of the biggest challenges after a long holiday isn't remembering schoolwork...

It's getting back into a routine.
Late bedtimes.
Irregular wake-up times.
Unlimited screen time.

These habits can make resumption more stressful than it needs to be.

A week or two before school resumes, begin to:
✔ adjust bedtime gradually
✔ encourage reading again
✔ reduce unnecessary screen time
✔ reintroduce structured daily routines

Small changes now can make a big difference later.

Save this reminder for the week before resumption.

The bright faces of our graduands at the 2026 end of the session party and graduation ceremony.

Alhamdulillah, it was a beautiful day.

To all our parents, thank you for trusting us with your treasures.

May Allah continue to guide and protect them.

When holidays begin, many parents feel pressured to keep their children constantly occupied.

Holiday classes.
Extracurricular programmes.
Daily outings.

While these have their place, children don't necessarily need a packed schedule
They need meaningful experiences.

Some of the most valuable lessons happen outside a classroom:
🌱 learning responsibility by helping at home
📖 reading a story together
🤲 praying in congregation
💬 having conversations that strengthen family bonds
❤️ serving others with kindness

These moments build character, confidence and emotional security.

As the holiday winds down, don't ask only,
"Did my child finish a workbook?"
Also ask,
"Did my child grow as a person?"
Because the best holidays prepare children for life, not just for school.

What's one meaningful activity your children has enjoyed this holiday?

As we prepare our children for a new school year, it's easy to focus on what they need to carry in their bags.

Books.
Uniforms.
Lunch boxes.
Stationery.

But perhaps the greatest preparation is helping them begin with the right intention.

Teach them that seeking beneficial knowledge is an act of worship.

Encourage them to make du'a before they leave home, to respect their teachers, to be kind to their classmates, and to remember that every lesson is an opportunity to grow closer to Allah through learning and good character.

May Allah bless our children with beneficial knowledge, righteous companions, sincere teachers and success in both this world and the Hereafter.
Ameen.

What du'a do you always make for your children before they leave for school?

Share it in the comments so we can all benefit.

As resumption approaches, many parents focus on buying uniforms, textbooks and stationery and rightly so.

But there's another kind of preparation that's just as important: emotional readiness.

Children feel more confident when they know what to expect.

Simple conversations can make a big difference.
Try asking:
"What are you looking forward to this term?"
"Is there anything you're worried about?"
"What goal would you like to achieve this session?"

These questions help children express their feelings and start the new term with confidence.

At GreenTrees, we believe learning begins with a child who feels secure, supported and ready to grow.

❤️ Save this as a reminder before resumption.

Choosing a school is one of the biggest decisions you'll make for your child.

It's easy to compare buildings, uniforms or examination results, but the questions that matter most often go beyond what you can see on a school tour.

Ask yourself:
✔ What values will my child absorb every day?
✔ Will they be encouraged to think?
✔ Will they grow in confidence?
✔ Will they develop strong character alongside academic excellence?

These questions can make all the difference in your child's educational journey.

At GreenTrees, we believe every child deserves an environment where they are known, nurtured and inspired to excel in knowledge, in character and in faith.

📌 Save this post for future reference and share it with another parent preparing for the new school year.

Every new school year is a reminder that children don't stay the same.

The child who started the last session is not the same child preparing for the next one.

They've grown, learned new things, developed new interests, and perhaps even faced new challenges.

As parents, it's natural to ask:
"Is my child ready for the next class?"

But there's another question that's just as important:
"Is my child's learning environment still meeting their growing needs?"

A great school doesn't simply promote children from one class to another.

It grows with them:challenging them academically, nurturing their character, strengthening their confidence, and helping them become the people Allah created them to be.

Choosing the right environment is one of the greatest gifts you can give your child.

May Allah guide every parent to make decisions that benefit their children in this life and the Hereafter.

💬 If you could choose just ONE thing you want your child to gain this new session (apart from good grades), what would it be?
