The University of Law offers one of the most straightforward and reliable routes for postgraduate study in the UK. Applicants with HND or Third Class degrees are eligible, the tuition deposit is £4,000, payment can be made in ten instalments, and offer decisions are released within 48 hours. The UK has recently released a major update on the maintenance funds required for international students, and if you’re planning to study in the UK, this affects you directly.

Here’s the new rule:

From November 11, 2025, the amount you must show in your account for your visa will increase to:

Inner London: £1,529 per month
Outside London: £1,171 per month

This figure is usually multiplied by 9 months, so your total proof of funds will now be calculated using these new numbers.

What this means is simple:
If you’re targeting schools in London, your required bank balance will be higher. If you choose schools outside London, your financial burden becomes lighter.
