TO ALL STUDYING ISLAMIC STUDIES
Assalamu alaikum,
Dear Islamic Studies Students,
As you embark on your academic journey, I want to offer you some advice that I hope will guide you throughout your studies and beyond.
First and foremost, remember that Islamic Studies is not just an academic discipline, but a Religious growth and self-discovery. As you delve into it remember to approach your studies with humility, reverence, and an open heart.
Develop a deep understanding of the Studies, but don't just stop at intellectual comprehension. Allow the wisdom and guidance of these Studies transform your life, to shape your character, and to guide your actions.
Don't just focus on dates, events, and figures. Remember that the stories of the prophets, companions, and scholars are not just historical narratives, but living examples of faith, courage, and resilience.
Islamic Studies is not just about memorization, but about application, interpretation, and innovation. Be prepared to engage with diverse perspectives, to question assumptions, and to seek knowledge from multiple sources.
Remember that your studies are not isolated from the world around you. Islam is a lived experience, a vibrant tradition that continues to shape the lives of millions worldwide. Engage with the Muslim community, participate in service projects, and seek opportunities to apply your knowledge in real-world settings.
Finally, never forget that your education is a gift from Allah. Be grateful for the opportunity to learn, to grow, and to serve. Remember that knowledge is a trust, and with it comes the responsibility to use it for the betterment of humanity.
As it was said, "Seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave." May your journey in Islamic Studies be a lifelong pursuit of wisdom, compassion, and Religious growth.
In the words of Imam Al-Ghazali, "Knowledge is a light that Allah places in the heart of whom He chooses." May your hearts be illuminated with the light of knowledge, and may you become beacons of hope, wisdom, and guidance for generations to come.
Ameen.
Your brother in Islam.

Assalamu alaikum, dear brothers and sisters,
As we return to school, let us remember that knowledge is a gift from Allah. Let us seek knowledge with the intention of pleasing Him and becoming better servants and citizens.
In the Quran, Allah says, "Say, Are those who know equal to those who do not know?. Let us strive to be among those who know and who use their knowledge to benefit themselves and others.
As Muslim students, we have a responsibility to uphold the values of our faith: compassion, honesty, justice, and respect. Let us support one another, work together, and encourage each other to excel.
Let us also remember that our Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The pursuit of knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim."
As we begin this new academic year, let us seek knowledge with dedication, passion, and the intention of serving Allah and our community.
May Allah bless our efforts and guide us on our journey. Ameen.
Thank you, and welcome back to school!

3rd, Ramadan, 1445H
Abu 'Atiyya reported: I and Misruq went to 'A'isha (A.S) and Masruq said to her: There are two persons among the Companions of Muhammad (PBUH) none of whom abandons the good, but one of them hastens to observe sunset prayer and break the fast, and the other delays in observing the sunset prayer and in breaking the fast, whereupon she said: Who hastens to observe sunset prayer and break the fast ? He said: It is 'Abdullah. Upon this she said: This is how the Messenger of Allah(PBUH) used to do.
