Earlier this morning, the Director of the Education Quality Assurance Services Department and I had the opportunity to visit Sambo Dan Ashafa Technical College, Gusau, where we witnessed the commencement of the Nigeria Learning Passport (NLP) inter-school learners' quiz competition organized by UNICEF in collaboration with the Zamfara State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MoEST).
The exercise demonstrated the effective use of the Nigeria Learning Passport as a modern digital assessment tool that enhances teaching and learning. By integrating technology into the assessment process, the initiative promotes improved learning outcomes, encourages healthy academic competition among students, and supports the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, and digital literacy skills. This innovative approach represents a significant step towards improving the quality of education and learners' achievement in our schools.
