This is Maryam Ibrahim Dan-Azumi, a student of Abubakar Siddiq Community School for Qur’an Memorization, who emerged 1st position in the female category with an impressive 97.70 marks in the memorization of the entire Holy Qur’an with Tafsir.

Abubakar Siddiq Community School for Qur’an Memorization heartily congratulates the participants representing Gombe State at the recently concluded 40th National Qur’anic Recitation Competition, held in Maiduguri, Borno State, on their outstanding performance and remarkable achievements.

Out of the eight participants from Gombe State, five emerged among the top winners in different categories, a feat that brings great pride to the state and the entire Ummah.

In particular, the school proudly celebrates Maryam Ibrahim Dan-Azumi, a student of Abubakar Siddiq Community School for Qur’an Memorization, who emerged 1st position in the female category with an impressive 97.70 marks in the memorization of the entire Holy Qur’an with Tafsir. She was also rewarded with a brand new Toyota Corolla and a seat for Lesser Hajj (Umrah), alongside other prizes.

Other outstanding winners from Gombe State include Zainab Idris Bashir, who secured 1st position in the 10 Hizb memorization and rhythmic recitation (Tajweed/Tarannum) category with 87.50 marks, as well as Nuhu Muhammad, Mudarrif Abubakar, and Abdul Rahman Musa Abubakar, who all emerged 4th position winners in their respective categories with excellent scores.

The competition was organized by the Centre for Arabic and Islamic Studies, Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and graciously hosted by the Borno State Government at the University of Maiduguri.

We pray that Allah (SWT) continues to increase them in knowledge, wisdom, and sincerity, and that their achievements serve as inspiration to many others.
