Members from the Branch successfully attended the 4th Session of the 2025 Mandatory Continuing Professional Development *(MCPD)* Program, themed:
*Public Value Management for Professional Accountants,* held at the International Conference Centre *(ICC)* in Bauchi State.
The event, which brought together professional accountants from across the country, provided a platform for members to enhance their skills and knowledge on public value management, a critical aspect of accounting practice.
The Gombe Branch members led by the Chairman, *Madam Dorcas Audu Wannah FCNA* actively participated in the program, engaging with experts and peers on best practices and emerging trends in public value management.
The event was a huge success, with participants commending the organizers for the insightful sessions and networking opportunities.
The Gombe Branch looks forward to implementing the knowledge gained from the *MCPD* Program to improve their professional services and contribute to the growth of the accounting profession the State and entire Nigeria.

The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria *(ANAN)* Gombe State Branch held its first congress meeting after the demise of it's chairman, Late Alhaji Muhammad Yusuf Kulani (FCNA). The meeting was chaired by the *Vice Chairman, Madam Dorcas Audu Wannah (FCNA.)*
*Key Highlights*
1. The meeting commenced with an opening prayer, followed by a prayer for the deceased, which moved many members to tears.
2. The Vice Chairman Madam Dorcas reported on her attendance of her inauguration into the Membership Committee at the National Headquarters in Abuja.
3. The President of ANAN, *Chief Hajiya Zuwaira Talatu Kishimi FCNA,* praised the Gombe Branch, particularly the *North East zone Exam Centre* , for maintaining the integrity and professional ethics of ANAN during exams.
4. The Vice Chairman also announced that 5 people from the branch have been nominated for fellowship awards and the branch is still expecting another batch of nominees for the award from the ANAN National Headquarters.
5. The tenure of the current *EXCOs* will expire in October 2025, and elections will be conducted; interested members were encouraged to start settling their liabilities.
6. *Alhaji Buhari Datti Sani FCNA,* Director of Inspectorate from Treasury, motivated members to be patient and dedicated in their work.
7. New members were introduced during the meeting, showcasing the branch's progress.

*ANAN National Headquarters Pays Tribute to Late Alhaji Yusuf Muhammad Kulani with Financial Assistance*
*July 1, 2025*
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria *(ANAN)* National Headquarters demonstrated its commitment to supporting its members and their families during times of bereavement. Following his passing, a delegation was sent to his family to offer condolences and financial assistance.
The deligation led by *Alhaji Abubakar Hassan, FCNA,* former *ANAN* Chairman and Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms *( BPSR),* the delegation conveyed sympathy from the *ANAN President, Chief Hajiya Talatu Zuwaira Kishimi, FCNA,* and the entire ANAN Council. *Alhaji Hassan* described the loss as not only felt by *ANAN* but also by the nation, highlighting *Late Alhaji Kulani's* dedication to *ANAN* activities at both national and state levels.
During the visit, the *ANAN* National Headquarters presented a token of *N500,000* as a gesture of financial support to the family. Other dignitaries present included Vice Chairman to the branch *Madam* *Dorcas Audu Wannah, FCNA* , who expressed her sympathy, and Secretary to the branch *Mr. Muhammad Kabir Abubakar M.K,* *Mr* *Shuaibu Adamu* CNA, Director Ministry of work are also sympathized with the decease and PS Ministry of science and technology *Alhaji* *Muhammad Muhammad Galadima* , who led prayers for the deceased's forgiveness and eternal rest.
The family expressed gratitude to the *ANAN* National Headquarters for the two visits – one for condolences and the second for financial support. This gesture demonstrates ANAN's commitment to caring for its members and their families during difficult times.

Condolence Visit: A Tribute to Alhaji Muhammed Yusuf Kulani FCNA
The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) National Headquarters, North East Zone Branch, Yobe Branch, and Bauchi Branch paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the Gombe Branch and the family of the late Alhaji Muhammed Yusuf Kulani FCNA, Chairman ANAN Gombe Branch, Secretary ANAN North East Zone Branch, and Permanent Secretary Ministry of Special Duties and Regional Coordination, on June 17, 2025.
The delegation, led by ANAN Council Member Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar FCNA, representing the ANAN President, Chief Hajiya Talatu Zuwaira Kishimi FCNA, was accompanied by Bako M. Kawu FCNA, Chairman Damaturu Branch, and Mr. Kabiru Alhaji Sai'du, Secretary Damaturu Branch.
At the Gombe Branch Secretariat, Madam Dorcas Audu Wannah FCNA, Vice Chairman of the Branch, received the delegation and expressed her sympathy over the loss. Alhaji Buhari Datti Sani FCNA, Director Inspectorate and representative of the Accountant General of Gombe State, admonished members to prioritize righteous deeds.
Dr. Bukar Aji Bukar FCNA conveyed the President's sympathy, highlighting the significant loss to ANAN and the state. He described the late Kulani as a dedicated professional and a pillar of the accounting profession in Gombe State.
The ANAN National Headquarters presented a token of money to the family, while the North East Zone Branch also made a separate donation. The condolence visit included notable members such as the immediate past ANAN Gombe Branch Chairman, Mr. Wilson Yahaya FCNA, and Ex-Officio II Alhaji Muhammed Bello FCNA.
The senior brother of the late Alhaji expressed gratitude to the ANAN National Headquarters, North East Zone Branch, Yobe Branch, and Bauchi Branch for their condolences and donations.

The Executives and Members of ANAN Gombe State Branch, *led by the Vice Chairman of the Branch Madam Dorcas Audu Wannah FCNA,* paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the family of the *late Alhaji Muhammad Yusuf Kulani FCNA* at their residence in Tudun Wada Pantami on *June 16, 2025.*
During the visit, the branch expressed deep condolences to the family. *Alhaji Buhari Datti Sani FCNA,* a senior member and Director Inspectorate at the Treasury, conveyed sympathy and admonished the family to utilize their time and resources for good deeds, emphasizing the importance of preparing for the hereafter.
*Madam Dorcas Audu Wannah FCNA* also conveyed her sympathies, urging the family to remain patient and united in the face of this loss. She specifically met with the female members of the deceased's family, offering words of comfort and encouragement.
As a token of support, the branch presented food, stuff, and water to the family. The Head of Payroll (Treasury House) *Mr Abubakar Zakari Kudi,* popularly known as *Ustaz,* led prayers for mercy, seeking Allah's forgiveness and granting the late Kulani Jannatul Firdausi.
