Its disheartening that the first official post on this page will be a tragedy. This evening is a darkness on the light of St. John's Post Literacy School Gboko as the Dean of Studies Mr Anule Daniel dimmed his light.

He called me a fortnight ago to inquire my welfare. We spoke heartily and even made reciprocal promises and exchanged opinions on how to move the place forward. He was full of life...

Two days later, the Head Teacher informed me of his decision not to resume with us, but on confirmation he said " I had wanted not to resume because of stress but I have a change of mind. Expect me back..."

Little did I know that his return was to be with his creator. And as death battled him to submission, we can't say more than a farewell.

The entire school community will miss a gem whose mastery of the class was not in doubt. His prowess in the teacher-student relationship would 4ever be missed. His services as the secretary of the school is suddenly vacuumed.

Dear Anule, we may have been poles-apart in terms of decisions, especially that you found me too meticulous and strict. Yet you gave your all, not just to impress me, but to be professional to teaching.

As you journey back to the Lord, we are with you in prayer for God's merciful judgement. As the saying goes "a teacher's reward is in heaven".

Till we meet to part no more.

St John's post Literacy School is one of the few evening primary schools in the state with a population strength of over 300 learners. The staff strength is derived from notable qualified and well trained teachers with a vast knowledge in education. The school is situated at the premises of the st John's primary school, Gboko.

Classes begin from 2pm to 6pm Monday to Friday. Admissions are ongoing and interested persons can hurriedly get their admission form from the office of the headmaster.
