Dear African satellite installers
It is with great pleasure I address you all. Bear with me the tone I will use not offend but to call to conscience some of our actions. The last time I checked, this group remains a satellite information group not a professional installers group. History tells us that civilisation started in Egypt in Africa yet we envy the whites for technology. This is because we Africans are nepotistic, greedy, selfish, tribalistic, etc. I havent seen any rule in this house banning learners from belonging. If you cant share your knowledge with a learner then I wonder the special price you paid to Michael Faraday for discovering electricity, Kepler for his laws used to intall satellites in space, Newton for his laws on motion, etc. Some these people gave up their lives so that mankind can enjoy toady. If an African was in their shoes we would still live like monkeys in the forest. Tony Elumelu of Nigeria empowers African entrepreneurs from all countries without looking at what he spent to be where he is today. Thats the spirit we should have in order to advance technologically. Please my brothers let us share so as to grow together. I have installed my own dishes for 12 years now not because I cant afford to pay but because I enjoy doing it. How do you feel after tracking a new satellite? Dont kill anothers joy. I started like a learner but today I can also share what some people gave me years back. There is no professional who was not a learner before. The scientist Einstein at about 12 years was told by his teacher that he will NEVER amount to something, he dropped out of school at some point, his parents as well labelled him a failure but today Einstein is a renowned scientist. Please lets be wise. If you are angry, tell the administrator to change the laws of the group. Im just concerned about the learners. Thanks for your patience.
