Our Ramadan feeding program for the Almajiri children continues

Every meal we share is a reminder that kindness still exists and that these children are not forgotten. Together, we can spread hope, compassion, and dignity to those who need it most.

During this blessed month of Ramadan, compassion and generosity remind us of our responsibility to care for the vulnerable among us.

The Almajiri Child Rights Initiative continues its Ramadan feeding program, providing iftar meals to Almajiri children. For many of these children, this support means more than just food—it is a message that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten.

Each meal shared brings hope, dignity, and a sense of belonging. It reflects the true spirit of Ramadan: kindness, charity, and humanity.

Together, we can continue to uplift and support these children, ensuring that no one is left behind during this sacred season.

Driving Change With a Champion of Reading and Child Safety- Gary Foxcroft at ACRI

We are privileged to welcome Gary Fox -Founder & CEO of Universal Learning Solutions /Co-Founder of Safe Child Africa and the country Director Mr Patrick

Mr Gary, fingerprints are everywhere in Nigeria- from driving state-level literacy reforms through Jolly Phonics that helped millions of Nigerian children learn to read, to standing in Akwa Ibom at the height of one of the darkest chapters in our child-protection history: the violent branding of children as witches.

Hosting him was more than a courtesy visit. It was a convergence of shared mission:
to teach every child to read,
to keep every child safe, and
to partner in addressing systemic issues that steal children’s futures in Nigeria.

Nigeria’s children deserve better. And
We look forward to collaborating on advancing children's rights in Nigeria.

Nigeria must face the harsh truth that these girls are not just statistics , they are daughters, learners, and futures that should have been protected. Their abduction highlights how far we are from the promises of the Safe Schools Declaration. Fear keeps many children out of school, and insecurity continues to steal childhoods.

These girls deserve to return home safely, and they deserve a country that truly safeguards their dreams.

Protect. Believe. Support. Heal.

Tuesday, 18 November is the World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence.

In Nigeria alone, 6 out of 10 children experience some form of violence before age 18. 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 10 boys suffer sexual violence. Fewer than 5% of survivors ever get help.(UNICEF )

Today is for every child who wasn’t believed, every survivor still carrying the weight, and every adult choosing to break the silence.
Protect. Believe. Support. Heal.

No child should ever face this alone.
