The right setup can be the difference between just “attending” and actually learning.
During class sessions, I ask my students:
‘’What topic are you doing in school right now?’’
Even though I have the curriculum, I want to meet them where they are.
Then towards the end of the session, I give questions on that topic to:
• Spot gaps
• Check understanding
• See the method they’ve been taught
Because here’s the truth:
Math is universal, but methods can be different
As a global tutor, I don’t force my method but I start with theirs.
