Different authors have defined the concept of poverty from different perspective, according to World Bank report, poverty is the inability to attain and minimum standard of living. The report constructed some indices based on a minimum level of consumption in order to show the practical aspect of poverty. These include lack of access to resources, lack of education and skills, poor health, malnutrition, lack of political freedom and voice, lack of shelter, poor access to water and sanitation, vulnerability to shocks, violence and crime, political discrimination and marginalization. Poverty still remains significant at 33.1% in Africa's biggest economy, recently Nigeria slipped into recession under the watch of the present administration which may contribute to the rate of mental illness that has been on the increase. The paper focuses on those mental illness/psychological disorders that can be induced, sustained and promoted by poverty, bearing in mind that mental health researches has shown that the experience of poverty significantly influences the way we think, feel and act.

Community policing focuses on crime and social order through the delivery of police services that includes aspects of traditional law enforcement as well as prevention, problem solving, community engagement and partnership. It is a strategy developed to move from what has become “reactive” policing to preventive policing in which the police see themselves, and are perceived by the society as a force at its service not as an agency merely imposing law and order. Thus, this study appraised the prevalent nature of centralized police structure in Nigeria to ascertain the effect of centralized structure on the operational needs of community policing in the country. It also examined the dispute over control of the police as well as its possible influence on the insecurity being experienced in Nigeria and; determined the prospects of non-centralized police structure.

In the practice of community development, the extent to which resources of the society are harnessed to bring about improvement on the wellbeing and socio-economic development at the community level depends on how people are mobilized. The effective mobilization of people vis-à-vis resource utilization is sine qua non to every development effort needed to galvanize the people to action. One way of mobilizing people into action is by conversing on meetings for collective voices for decision makings. Foundry is a factory that produces metal castings. It is a commercial establishment for producing cast metals by pouring molten metal into a mold and allowing it to solidify. Metals are cast into shapes by melting them into a liquid, pouring the metal into a mold and removing the mold material after the metal has solidified as it cools. Foundry craft works involves many processes especially in the making of patterns, cores and moulds for producing intricate shapes. Foundry craft technology is the most efficient and effective means of producing parts of machines and other parts that are difficult to produce on the lathe machine with respect to grinding, milling and shaping. The study was a survey research conducted to investigate the strategies for Effective Teaching and Learning of foundry craft in technical Colleges in Enugu State.

Bureaucracy is an organization where rules are observed or followed rigidly and where there is hierarchical arrangement of authority. Treasury Single Account is a unified or integrated account of the government meant to serve the need of checkmating excess loss, leakages, and manipulation of revenue, receipts and expenditures of the government. This study noted that, the world is a global village and there is no doubt that this global village/family is change driven. By this, we have in abundance, interplays of forces that negate latencies, coldness, and allied matters. This study sets out to portray the meaning of Bureaucracy, Treasury Single Account, the challenges confronting Bureaucracy in an era of economic change, and to aver possible remedial measures to be adopted.

Nigeria has been classified as one of the poorest in the world despite its abundant human and natural resources. This classification is not unconnected with its inability to tackle most of the social scourges such as poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, environmental degradation, ill-health, social discrimination, to mention a few. The effects of these scourges will be endless if one attempts to mention them. For instance, the growing evidence and dynamics of poverty in Nigeria have stratified and polarized Nigerian society between the haves and the have not, between the North and the south, the educated and uneducated. There is generally a wide spread public concern about the students secondary school Student's low attainment in mathematics at present. The yearly Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results show that the percentage failure in the subject is high. Several authors believed that there are factors that are responsible for the poor performance of students on the subject. The National Mathematics Curriculum for upper basic education III has many areas ofstudyand divided into themes. The study examined self-concept and attitude as determinants of academic achievement in mathematics among students of upper basic education level.
