The Hon Commissioner for Education, Prof Uchenna Eze has been decorated today as a member of the Calvary Foundation International, an Affiliate of the United Nations, the International First Aid Society.
The group noted that the gesture was because of his achievements in the educational sector of the State since he assumed office.
Responding, the Commissioner said that he was highly elevated and humbled for the association for considering him to be decorated as their member.
He noted that such association was the type he like to associate himself with, a humanitarian organisation ,a place where life is being saved, he appreciated the fact that it is a saving life association.
He promised to try harder in responding to emergencies.

*NAPPS EXECUTIVES MEETS WITH THE HON COMMISSIONER MINISTRY OF EDUCATION TODAY 31ST AUGUST, 2021*
The Executives of National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Enugu State Chapter visited the Hon .Commissioner, Prof. Uche Eze to solicit for the Ministry's collaboration in their forth coming Maiden Education Summit.
The NAPPS Chairman, Comerade Ernest Ike Ugwu, the Vice Chairman, Lily Okechukwu, Assistant Secretary, Hon Nelson Agu and Welfare Officer 1, Agbaeze Chinwendu presented, their newly procured 18 seaters operational bus to the Hon. Commissioner and the Directors. The Director Quality Assurance Bar. Mrs Georgina Ikwueze prayer over the bus.
The Hon. Commissioner congratulated them and adviced them to keep the good work towards education sector going.
The Director Administration and Supply, Mr Chukwudi Onah and Director Schools, Mrs Meg Ayogu were also present during the presentation.
The students expressed their happiness and appreciation to the Executive Governor of Enugu State His Excellency Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for his generosity, kind considerations and the Award.
The parents also thanked the Governor for the Award given to their children and for his giant strides in Education.
*Enugu State is indeed in the hands of God .*
*REWARD FOR HARD WORK*
His Excellency the Executive Governor in his magnanimity has rewarded the Hard work and Excellence of two students of the Government Technical Colleges in Enugu state.
These two students Chukwu Emmanuel Mmaduabuchi from Government Technical College Nsukka and Udoye Chukwuebuka from Government Technical College Enugu who took it upon themselves to make different scientific innovation were presented by the Hon. Commissioner for Education, Prof. Uche Eze to His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at Government House Enugu State on the 3rd of August 2021.
Master Chukwu Emmanuel Mmaduabuchi from GTC Nsukka constructed a Helicopter and a Jet fighter while Master Udoye Chukwuebuka from GTC Enugu constructed an MP3 radio set which they showcased to His Excellency the Governor.
After due consideration, His Excellency the Governor granted scholaship Awards to the students up to University level and also made cash promise of one million naira ( #1,000,000.00) and five hundred thousand naira ( #500,000.00 ) to the students respectively.
Fulfilling His Excellency's cash promise to the students, the Hon. Commissioner for Education on 31st August 2021 presented a cheque of #1,000,000.00 and #500,000.00 to the students respectively.
The cheque of 1,000,000.00 was handed over to Chukwu Emmanuel Mmaduabuchi and #500,000.00 to Udoye Chukwuebuka by the Executive Chairman of Science Technical Vocational Schools Management Board (STVSMB) Dr G.O. C Ajah in the office of the Hon. Commissioner For Education with the parents of the students and their school principals in attendance.
The Cash Award , the Hon. Commissioner reiterated was to encourage the students and help them buy more materials to aid them in making more innovations and not to be squandered on various celebrations, hence it is hoped that the students will take their innovations to the next level with the help of this cash rewards.
