It is with heavy hearts and profound regret that we announce yet another painful loss within our community: the passing of Ikechukwu John Oyeudo, fondly known as "Dangote,".
Ikechukwu was a graduate of the Sociology Department, Class of 2019. His sudden departure leaves a void that will be felt by all who knew him.
The wake-keep arrangement took place on October 17th, 2025, at St Theresa’s Catholic Cathedral, Jimeta-Yola, Adamawa State. He was laid to rest earlier a day after.
We join the Oyeudo family, his friends, and all loved ones in mourning this loss. We pray that the Lord grants them the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, and that He grants Ikechukwu eternal rest in perfect peace.

Life-Saving Brain Surgeries Performed at Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital
The Neurosurgery Unit at Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital has recorded two major successes in recent months.
In one case, our team removed a dangerous blood clot from an elderly patient’s brain, restoring his health and mobility. In another, we performed a life-saving decompressive craniotomy on a patient with severe brain swelling following a stroke, preventing further damage and aiding recovery.
These successes reflect the expertise, dedication, and teamwork of our neurosurgeons, anaesthetists, and support staff.
They also reaffirm Godfrey Okoye University Teaching Hospital’s commitment to delivering world-class healthcare right here in Enugu, providing life-saving interventions and advanced surgical care for our community and beyond.
