ADVANTAGES OF WRITING
Hi Readers,
It's been a minute! I hope you missed us as much as we missed you. For today's article on Writing Wednesday, let's x-ray the pros of writing.
There exists very many opportunities for students who write. These opportunities spans various writing niches and are open to students of a wide range of departments and age ranges. The big question now is why write?
1. Writing is LUCRATIVE
Yes, writers earn money especially if you are consistent and can leverage your network. Asides from the monetary incentive, writing offers access to strategic collaboration (human capital) which could open the door to more opportunities.
2. Writing improves your CREATIVITY
The best way to get better at writing is actually to write. As a writer who consistently puts in effort, you are sure to steadily improve.
3. Writing develops the thought process
Writers are thinkers! I don't know there's any writer who doesn't think about concepts before writing. The process of critical thinking filters your thoughts to a concise yet multifaceted beam of information. This effect also permeates into daily living, as a writer, you see life from every and any angle possible.
4. Writing EXPANDS your vocabulary
Writing makes you come across mew terminologies. If you are as curious as I am, you would want to look it up and learn its correct usage. This would further improve your writing as your mind would be a plethora of synonyms in place of very common words.
5. Writing is a CAREER
Students who begin to write in school are very likely to forge a career path in writing. Writing as a possible career option which cuts across various professions.
With all these being said, it is important to note that writing is a fun activity. So, why don't you explore the world of writing today?
