TOPIC: COUNTABLE AN UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
Countable nouns are nouns we can count. Uncountable nouns are nouns we cannot count.
EXAMPLES:
COUNTABLE NOUNS - UNCOUNTABLE NOUNS
Dog - Coffee
Man - Water
Cat - Sugar
Pencil - Hair
Book - Time
Plate - Sand
chair - Information
Table - Milk
Broom - Salt
NOTE: We use A, FEW, A FEW and SOME for some countable nouns. While we use little, a little, a piece, and some for some uncountable nouns.
EXAMPLES: A girl , a few people, some men, a piece of information etc.

Definite Article - The
'THE' is called the 'definite article'. it is used when the listener already knows the noun being talked about
EXAMPLES:
1a) 'A' Boy is coming tomorrow (The boy is not known)
1b) 'THE' Boy is coming tomorrow (The boy is known to the listener)

The World
The Sun
The Moon
The Red cross society etc.

DEFINITION: Article is a word use before a noun. There are three articles in english.They are:'A', 'AN' and 'THE'. 'A' and 'AN' are called the indefinite articles.
They are used when the listener does not know the noun being talked about. 'A' is used before a vowel singular noun that sounds like a consonant 'U'(YOU)
EXAMPLES:
A Uniform
A European
A University
'A' is also used before a singular noun that begins with a consonant.
EXAMPLES:
A Book
A Table
A River
A Pencil
An is used before a word that begins with the letter 'h' but has a vowel sound.
EXAMPLES:
An Hour
An Heir
An Honest boy
An Honourable man
'AN' is also used before words beginning with a vowel. Examples: An Apple, An Egg
