Meet Edward Chukwuemeka Chidera. The Senior Category Winner of the Flowing Feathers Tourism Writing Competition, 2022 edition.
Edward came from Christian Academy School in Isiogbo Nara, Nkanu LGA of Enugu State. The passion and fire in Edward captivated the judges. Asides defending a well written essay, Edward was admired for speaking so well about the culture and tradition of his town.

The defence session is a deliberate effort to ensure that the right participants are chosen as winners of the Flowing Feathers Tourism Writing Competition. The students are made to give a summary of their essays or poems, give reasons for their points and a brief about their culture in relation to the topic of the year.
Whether physical or virtual, it is a complete test of courage, confidence and the speaking abilities of the participants. Amidst all of these, they come out, learning something new about domestic tourism. This year, ninety participants made it to the defence session.
