🌞 DAY NINE MORNING ASSEMBLY
Topic: What Your Bag, Desk and Shoes Say About You
Duration: 3–5 minutes
Aim: Help students understand that neatness and organization reflect discipline, responsibility, and respect.
OPENING ( 30 seconds)
Teacher greets:
> “Good morning, students!”
Then ask playfully:
“Who checked their bag this morning?”
“Who cleaned their desk yesterday?”
Smile and say:
> “Today, we are talking about something we all carry or use every day —
our bag, our desk, and our shoes.”
🧠 MAIN MESSAGE (2–3 minutes)
Teacher explains:
> “Your bag, desk, and shoes may look small,
but they say a lot about you.”
> “A neat bag shows:
Preparedness
Discipline
Respect for learning”
> “A messy desk shows:
Carelessness
Disorganization
Lack of focus”
> “Clean shoes show:
Self-respect
Respect for your school
Pride in your identity
Use a simple comparison:
> “When your things are organized, your mind becomes organized too.”
Teacher says:
> “The Bible teaches us to be orderly and responsible.”
1. 1 Corinthians 14:40 – “Let all things be done decently and in order.”
2. Luke 16:10 – “Whoever is faithful in little things will be faithful in much.”
3. Proverbs 6:6–8 – “Go to the ant… it prepares its food in summer.”
> “God cares about little things because they show our character.”
INTERACTIVE MOMENT (30–60 seconds)
Ask students:
“What can you do today to keep your bag neat?”
“Why should we keep our desks clean?”
Encourage short responses.
Then say:
> “Clean space, clear mind.”
KEY LESSON
Say clearly:
> “If you cannot take care of small things,
big responsibilities will be difficult.”
Call & Response:
Teacher: “My space…”
Students: “…shows my discipline!”
CLOSING (30 seconds)
End with:
“From today, take pride in your bag, desk, and shoes.
They represent you and your school.”
“Let ............. (Your school name)be known for neat, responsible students.”
“Have an orderly and productive day.”
NOTE
Avoid embarrassing students publicly
Use general examples, not personal criticism
Reinforce gently in class
