THE CURRICULUM CHANGED.
THE REAL QUESTION IS WHO'S STANDING IN FRONT OF THE CLASS.
Junior secondary is now meant to cover basic coding in Python and Scratch plus introductory robotics, and senior secondary goes on to AI and robotics.
That's a lot to ask of a teacher who trained before any of this was on the syllabus.
Research on the rollout points to limited teacher training and poor infrastructure as the things slow it down.
It's not the teachers' fault. Nobody handed them a kit and a year to prepare.
This is the gap we work in.
A DYTAL instructor walks into the school with the lesson already built, and pupils are building something before the bell.
So I'm curious.
If your child is in JSS or SS, has the school started any of this yet?
What does it actually look like where you are?
