Before looking at the pronunciation, let's take a look at the meaning.

PRICE is the cost required to gain the possession of something while a PRIZE is an honour, award or anything offered for winning a competitive contest.

While

I understood what she meant by prospond.

That word is not PROSPOND. ❎

So it is wrong to say, 'they have prospond the election.

You should rather say, 'they have POSTPONED the election'. ✔

Or

The election has been POSTPONED. ✔
