Wisdom from God We are spreading the word of God There are many gems of wisdom and knowledge throughout the Bible.

Here are just a few examples of the words of wisdom which can be found in God’s word. If someone wanted to study the concept of wisdom in-depth in the Bible, then starting with the book of Proverbs is recommended. Proverbs was mostly written by Solomon, the man to whom the Bible says God gave great wisdom.

🔥 STOP FIGHTING EVERY BATTLE THAT CALLS YOUR NAME!

“If you know your calling, you will not reply every preacher who attacks you.” — Pastor W.F. Kumuyi

One of the greatest signs of spiritual maturity is knowing when to speak and when to remain silent.

Teaching from Philippians 1:15–16, Pastor W.F. Kumuyi reminded ministers that even in the early Church, some preached Christ out of envy and rivalry, while others did so with genuine goodwill.

Not every provocation deserves your attention. Not every criticism requires a response. And not every voice deserves a place in your conversation.

When you truly understand your calling, you don't need to compete with another minister, defend yourself against every accusation, or turn the pulpit into a platform for retaliation.

Your assignment is bigger than the argument.

Keep preaching Christ.
Keep winning souls.
Keep showing God's love.
Keep preparing people for eternity.
Keep fulfilling the purpose God gave you.

Sometimes, the strongest response to an attack is silence, faithfulness and continued obedience.

📖 “Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will.” — Philippians 1:15

🔥 Know your calling. Protect your focus. Let Christ—not controversy—be the center of your ministry.

UNLOCKING YOUR POTENTIAL THROUGH CONSISTENCY
God has placed something valuable inside you, but potential alone is not enough. What you repeatedly do with what God has given you determines how much of that potential becomes reality.
David consistently served before he became king. Daniel consistently prayed before he faced the lions. Joseph remained faithful through difficult seasons before his elevation.
Don't despise small beginnings. Don't quit because results are slow.
Keep praying.
Keep learning.
Keep working.
Keep serving.
Keep growing.
Galatians 6:9: “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Your breakthrough may require more than talent—it may require consistency.
🌱 Keep showing up. Keep becoming. In due season, you will reap. Join me tomorrow Thursday by 8pm as we unvail more on this topic.

THE UNENDING GOODNESS OF GOD

Main Text: Psalm 23:6

«“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”»

INTRODUCTION

There are many things in life that have an expiry date.

Money can finish.
Beauty can fade.
Human relationships can change.
Positions can be lost.
Opportunities can disappear.
Even people we trust may disappoint us.

But there is something that never runs dry—the goodness of God.

David said:

«“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”»

David did not say, “Goodness will follow me only when everything is going well.”

He said all the days of my life.

That means good days and difficult days, days of abundance and days of scarcity, days when we understand what God is doing and days when we do not understand Him.

God remains good.

---

1. GOD IS GOOD BY NATURE

Psalm 100:5

«“For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.”»

God doesn't simply do good things—goodness is part of who He is.

Human beings can be good today and disappoint you tomorrow.

But God's character does not change.

Malachi 3:6

«“For I am the LORD, I change not.”»

When circumstances change, God does not change.

When people leave, God remains.

When doors close, God remains God.

When prayers seem unanswered, God remains good.

---

2. GOD'S GOODNESS IS NOT LIMITED TO GOOD SEASONS

One of the greatest mistakes believers make is judging God's goodness only by their circumstances.

Sometimes we say:

“God is good because I got the job.”

“God is good because I received money.”

“God is good because I got married.”

“God is good because I received healing.”

Yes, God is good in those things.

But God remains good even when the answer has not yet come.

Look at Job.

Job lost his possessions.
He lost his children.
He lost his health.
People misunderstood him.

Yet Job said:

Job 13:15

«“Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.”»

Job's circumstances changed, but his understanding of God's character remained.

---

3. SOMETIMES GOD'S GOODNESS IS HIDDEN IN WHAT WE CALL DELAY

There are prayers you prayed years ago that have not yet been answered.

You may ask:

“God, why is this taking so long?”

But delay does not necessarily mean denial.

Consider Abraham and Sarah.

God promised Abraham a son.

Genesis 21:1–2

«“And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.”»

The promise took time.

But when God's appointed time came, Sarah gave birth to Isaac.

What looked like delay was not abandonment.

God was still working.

---

4. GOD CAN TURN A BAD SITUATION INTO A TESTIMONY

One of the greatest examples is Joseph.

Joseph was hated by his brothers.

He was thrown into a pit.

He was sold into slavery.

He was falsely accused.

He was imprisoned.

But eventually he became governor in Egypt.

At the end, Joseph said to his brothers:

Genesis 50:20

«“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good.”»

That is the goodness of God.

People can plan evil.

Circumstances can become difficult.

Doors can close.

But God can take what was intended for your destruction and use it for your elevation.

---

5. GOD'S GOODNESS FOLLOWS US EVEN WHEN WE DON'T DESERVE IT

David said:

«“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me…”»

Notice the combination:

Goodness and mercy.

Mercy means God does not always give us what our failures deserve.

Lamentations 3:22–23

«“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning.”»

Every morning is another testimony.

You woke up—not because you are perfect.

You woke up because His mercy is still speaking.

---

6. THE CROSS IS THE GREATEST PROOF OF GOD'S GOODNESS

If you ever doubt whether God loves you, look at the cross.

John 3:16

«“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son…”»

God did not merely tell us He loved us.

He demonstrated it.

Romans 5:8

«“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”»

The cross tells us:

God's goodness is not based on our perfection.

He loved us while we were still sinners.

---

7. EVEN WHEN WE DON'T UNDERSTAND GOD, WE CAN TRUST HIS GOODNESS

There will be seasons when you don't understand what God is doing.

You prayed, but the situation became worse.

You believed, but the door remained closed.

You trusted, but things did not happen according to your expectation.

In those moments, remember:

Isaiah 55:8–9

«“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”»

You may not understand God's method, but you can trust His character.

---

8. GOD'S GOODNESS CAN FOLLOW A PERSON THROUGH EVERY SEASON

Look at David.

He experienced the pasture.

He experienced the palace.

He experienced the battlefield.

He experienced persecution.

He experienced victory.

He experienced failure.

Yet he could still say:

«“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”»

That should also be our confession.

Not:

“Goodness will follow me when everything is perfect.”

But:

“Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”

---

9. THE GOODNESS OF GOD SHOULD PRODUCE GRATITUDE

Sometimes we are so focused on what we don't have that we forget what God has already done.

You may not have everything you want.

But there are things you have today that you once prayed for.

There was a time you asked God for the opportunity you now have.

There was a time you prayed to reach where you are today.

There was a time you didn't know how you would survive—but God brought you through.

Therefore:

Psalm 103:2

«“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”»

Don't forget His benefits.

Don't forget where He brought you from.

Don't forget the doors He opened.

Don't forget the battles He fought for you.

Don't forget the times He protected you.

---

10. GOD'S GOODNESS IS BIGGER THAN MATERIAL BLESSINGS

God's goodness is not only:

- Money
- Cars
- Houses
- Jobs
- Businesses
- Marriage
- Promotion

The greatest gift is God Himself.

Paul said in Philippians 3:8 that he counted everything as loss compared with knowing Christ.

If God gives you everything but you lose your relationship with Him, you have missed the greatest blessing.

Therefore, don't pursue God's gifts more than you pursue God.

---

11. THE GOODNESS OF GOD SHOULD CHANGE HOW WE LIVE

If God has been good to us, we should also live in a way that honors Him.

Romans 12:1

«“Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God…”»

God's goodness should produce:

Gratitude instead of complaining.

Faith instead of fear.

Forgiveness instead of bitterness.

Generosity instead of selfishness.

Holiness instead of compromise.

Worship instead of murmuring.

---

12. YOUR CURRENT CHAPTER IS NOT THE END OF YOUR STORY

Maybe somebody listening to this message is currently in a difficult chapter.

You may be saying:

“Where is God?”

“Why hasn't my prayer been answered?”

“Why am I experiencing this?”

Remember Joseph.

His prison was not his destination.

Remember David.

His wilderness was not his destination.

Remember Abraham and Sarah.

Their waiting was not the end of their story.

Remember Lazarus.

Jesus arrived when it appeared too late.

John 11:40

«“Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?”»

Your current situation may not be the final chapter.

God is still writing your story.

---

REAL-LIFE LESSON

There are people today who once thought their lives were finished.

Some lost businesses and started again.

Some failed examinations and eventually succeeded.

Some experienced rejection and later found their purpose.

Some went through financial hardship and eventually recovered.

Some experienced years of waiting before receiving what they prayed for.

The lesson is simple:

Don't make a permanent conclusion from a temporary situation.

Your present difficulty does not cancel God's goodness.

---

DECLARATION

I declare over your life:

The goodness of God shall not depart from you.

Mercy shall follow you.

Where there is no way, may God make a way.

Where there is confusion, may God give you direction.

Where there is weakness, may God give you strength.

Where there is delay, may God give you patience and divine intervention.

Where there is lack, may God provide.

Where there is sorrow, may God bring comfort.

Where doors have been closed, may God open the right doors.

May your life become a testimony of God's unending goodness.

And when people look at your life, may they say:

“Surely, the Lord has been good to this person.”

---

CONCLUSION

Beloved, God's goodness is not seasonal.

It is not dependent on the economy.

It is not dependent on people's opinions.

It is not dependent on your present circumstances.

God is good.

When you have money—God is good.

When you are waiting—God is good.

When the door opens—God is good.

When the door closes—God is still good.

When you understand—God is good.

When you don't understand—God is still good.

When the answer comes—God is good.

When you are still waiting—God is still good.

And David's declaration should become our declaration:

«“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” — Psalm 23:6»

Your story will not end with your present struggle.

The goodness of God is still following you.

---

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, we thank You because You are good and Your mercy endures forever.

Thank You for every battle You have fought for us, every door You have opened, every danger You have delivered us from, and every blessing we did not even recognize.

Lord, help us to trust You even when we don't understand You.

For everyone waiting for an answer, let Your goodness speak.

For everyone going through difficult seasons, let Your mercy sustain them.

For those who have lost hope, restore their hope.

For those who are discouraged, strengthen them.

For those believing You for a breakthrough, let their testimony come at the appointed time.

And above all, help us never to love Your blessings more than we love You.

Let our lives become living testimonies that You are good, Your mercy is everlasting, and Your faithfulness never ends.

In Jesus' mighty name,

Amen.
