⭕HOW TO HELP YOUR CHILD DURING THE SENSORIMOTOR STAGE AND PRE-OPERATIONAL STAGES.
The SENSORIMOTOR and the PRE-OPERATIONAL STAGE are the foundational stage of a child's learning development.
When these two stages are taken care of, other stages will be smooth.
Here Are Aways To Help Your Child During These Stages:
• Play peekaboo or hide and seek games(this helps your child to learn cause and effect. It also helps your child to develop understanding of object performance)
• Sing song, read stories, describe pictures and recite for your children.
• Use actions and words.
• Use visual tracking (symbols)
• Frequently brainstorm your child.
( Activities like solving puzzles, sorting, sequencing, board games, counting, storytelling and show & tell helps develops a child's brain).
Lay a strong and unshakeable foundation for your child, and be rest assured of a stress free future.
Good morning to you all.
Our children will make us proud.
Amen🙏

⭕ You must accept this truth...
Excellent is contagious. When you become excellent in a particular area of your life, with time, other parts will contact it too.
It spreads like virus.
Your child's journey to excellence might start with academic excellence.
I have heard a lot of stories of great transformation which started as a result of academic excellence.
Stop ignoring your child's academic performance with the claim that their destiny is in God's hands.
Yes it this, but remember, "heaven helps those that helps themselves".
The destines of those school drop-outs who are now vagabonds and hooligans vandalizing and disturbing the peace of the society are also in God's hands.
Were they destined to be hooligans?
Of course NO
someone did not do what he or she ought to do in their lives and that is why they are what they are today.
Excellent is Paramount to nothing.
Please save your child's future now.
Lay a strong, unshakeable foundation for your child now.
Happy new month to you all.
It is not too late to start assisting your child in their journey to academic excellent.

TEACH YOUR CHILD SELF CONTROL AND PATIENT,THROUGH DELAYED GRATIFICATION.
From my observation and experience, one of the major reasons people fail a task which they ought to perfect is IMPATIENT.
The same goes to children, for children, it is worst,as they are not experienced to know the consequences of failure.
Impatient to follow the required steps in solving a problem. Impatient to count numbers. Impatient to read and reread until the question is well understood.
One of my pupils once failed her classwork. I knew for sure that the questions I had set wasn't cumbersome or beyond her,so I called her to my desk to inquire why she failed.
She said,"Mrs Precious,I am sorry, I was tired of counting".
I asked,"how then did you arrived to your answer?
She was silent, after a while she replied, ",I just wrote anything".
Chaiiii
Children can be beautifully annoying.
You see, impatient is a normal childhood phenomenon that needs to be controlled by the adult.
Teaching your child to be patient, will impact that child in all ramifications. Both in dealing with others, and in dealing with his academics and future.
And the most guaranteed way to achieve this is through DELAYED GRATIFICATIONS.
Delayed gratification simply means, not rewarding or giving your child what they need immediately it is requested of.
For example, making your child to leave his food until it is completely cold.
According to the result of the Marshmallow test created by psychologist Walter Mischel,"delayed gratification in children when they were young always result to a positive future outcome".
Not just that, delayed gratification is an essential element of self control.
It helps children to be self controlled and patient.
As it is written, "train up a child in the way he should go,and when he is old,he will not depart from it.
Teach your child delayed gratification, and have peace in the years to come,as it will influence all their actions, including education.

This season is a period to have a honest talk with your children.

Mental Health Vs Your Child
100% of our daily activities are coordinated by our brain. The way we think, our actions, ability to relate with people and our environment, ability to assimilate and respond etc are all responsive to the brain.
🧠
Our mental health affects all our affairs irrespective of age.
🧠
Your ability to be outstanding and unique depends on your mental strength.
🧠
Our mental health state determines our level of success and accomplishment in life.
🧠
The same goes to your child's academic performance.
The brain is the first tool needed for learning.
🧠
The brain helps a child to comprehend and understand words being said by his teacher.
🧠
The brain helps a child to relate words and think critically to make sense out of it.
🧠
The brain helps a child to process and store information.
🧠
The brain helps a child to recognize alphabets and sounds for word processing and reading.
🧠
The brain helps a child to think critically about a task and activities.
The role of the brain in education can never be underrated.
🧠
Mental health problem can affect a child's energy level, concentration, dependability, mental ability which increase the risk of repeating a grade and dropping out of school.

Easiest Ways To Make Studying Fun For Your Child.
📚🧠
In my last post,I guided you through 3 steps to take to make reading fun for your child,if you missed the content, kindly read here .
How to make studying fun for your child:
📚🧠
While studying with your child, lay more emphasis on funny and interesting part: Every child loves interesting moment. Tell your child interesting stories that is connected to what is being studied, allow them to share their experience concerning the topic too. Make the moment fun and lively. Some children finds reading boring, this will stimulate your child's interest.
📚🧠
Make sure what is being studied is within their assimilation: One of the reasons some children find studying boring is because, what they are studying is above their assimilation. They find it difficult to understand the terms.
When a child is reading a content with too many different words that keeps referring them to the dictionary, there are possibilities of the child giving up on the topic, because, such child will see the content more boring and tiring.
This is why I always encourage parents to know their child's intellectual level before selecting a class for their child.
If you missed my content on class selection, kindly read here:
📚🧠
Always link the topic to reality: Children feel reluctant to study because, what they are studying is abstract. Many children finds it difficult to link what they have learnt or read to real life event, making them feel it is a waste of time.
By linking the topic or part of the topic to a real life event,it will make your child to make sense from the study.
📚🧠
Lastly, always use the positive reinforcement method. Children loves to be rewarded, reward your child for his efforts.

Easiest Ways To Make Studying Fun For Reluctant Children.
Studying is the easiest gate way to learning and excellent Academic performance.
📚🧠
Most times, what is being taught in the class room stores at the short memory.
Revisiting a lesson after being taught will help the brain to acquaint to the information, transferring it to the long term memory.
📚🧠
A child can not give an answer to a question, when he does not have an answer, and the only way to have an answer is by studying.
📚🧠
If your child is among the category of students who are Reluctant to study,do not panic,I am here to guide you on how to make studying fun for your child.
📚🧠 Firstly, you lead by example: 99% of what Children do are learnt from those around them. A child feels comfortable with what he has seen his love ones do. That is why it is hard to unlearn what is being learnt from our relations.
Read a book,do it for the seek of your child who is always watching you. No wonder writers birth writers.
📚🧠
Always make out time to study with your child: I don't think 20 minutes is too much to invest in your child's studies. For a busy parent,it can be on weekends. Make out time, read and explain to your child what the teacher had taught her earlier. You can do this for at least 20minutes,the child can preceed from where you stopped. Ask questions, with a reward at the end.
📚🧠
Start with picture textbooks: Children, especially those who are still getting used to reading finds pictures interesting more than text.
Explain the pictures to your child in an interesting manner, inform your child that, she will discover more interesting facts when she read the content. This will encourage her to read in other the get more interesting information.
I will stop here to continue with the remaining steps tomorrow.
