📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS OF NSCDC, SAUKA.

Dear Students,

This is to inform all students that the 2026_2 examination, scheduled to commence in October 2026, will now take place in the University Library at the University headquarters in Jabi and not at the NSCDC Sauka Study Centre.

This decision is necessary to ensure that students have a proper and conducive environment for the conduct of their examinations.

🪪 THINGS TO BRING TO THE EXAMINATION

Students are advised to come with the following:

1. Valid Student Identification Card (ID Card)
Please ensure that your Student ID Card is readily available. It will be required to facilitate your entry into the University Headquarters compound at Jabi.

2. Laminated Examination Clearance Slip
Your laminated Examination Clearance Slip will be required for entry into the examination hall.

⏰ BE SEATED 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR EXAMINATION

All students are strongly advised to arrive at the University Headquarters and be seated in their respective examination halls at least 30 minutes before the scheduled examination time.

Please note that examination rules and regulations will be strictly adhered to at the Headquarters. Students are therefore expected to plan their movement accordingly and arrive early enough to complete all necessary entry and examination procedures on schedule.

⚠️ COMPLETE YOUR EXAMINATION CLEARANCE EARLY

All students are strongly advised to complete their examination clearance before the examination commences.

Please do not wait until the examination period before completing your examination clearance.

Students should also note that during the examination period, the Director, Desk Officers and Account Officers will not be available in the centre to attend to individual clearance issues, as they will be involved in administering the examination.

We encourage everyone to take this notice seriously and make the necessary preparations ahead of the examination.

Kindly share this information with your course mates and ensure that no student is left uninformed.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

DIRECTOR,
NOUN/NSCDC Sauka Special Study Centre.

*DEAR POP & E-EXAM STUDENTS, PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE CAREFULLY.*

This message may be a little long, but it is for your own good and proper exam preparation.

Please, do not assume that you still have plenty of time before the examination. Time moves very quickly, and the earlier you start preparing, the better for you.

*FOR POP STUDENTS*

The draft timetable has already given us an idea of the examination arrangement. Once the official timetable is released, pay attention to your course, date and examination time and plan accordingly.

If you have not completed your registration, please try as much as possible to do so before the normal registration deadline. Do not wait until late registration before you start thinking about it.

*Why?*

Because late registration does not only affect the payment. It can also reduce the amount of time you have to:

✅ Gain access to the e-learning portal
✅ Complete your TMA
✅ Study your course materials
✅ Prepare properly for the examination
✅ Understand the questions before the exam

You don't want to spend the few days before your examination rushing to complete everything.

Give yourself enough time to prepare.

*DON'T JUST CRAM — UNDERSTAND*

For POP students especially, don't make the mistake of thinking that because it is a written examination, you only need to memorize your course material.

You need to understand what the question is asking and how to answer it.

For example:

Define — give the meaning of the concept.

Describe — explain the features, nature or characteristics.

Explain — make the meaning or idea clear with sufficient details.

Discuss — give a detailed explanation, usually covering important points and relevant aspects.

Distinguish — show the differences between two or more concepts.

Summarize — give the main points without unnecessary details.

List/State — provide the required points directly.

These instructions are different. If a question asks you to distinguish between two concepts, don't simply define both concepts and stop there. You need to clearly show their differences.

The way you answer a question matters just as much as knowing the topic.
