*"Why Am I in School?" - A Timely Message to Jenny School Students.*

Today, our Director, Dr. Ogheneruona Emojevwe J., met with our secondary school students to share a thought-provoking message on the importance of education.

He emphasized that school is not a scam or routine, but a transformative experience that offers numerous benefits. These include:

1. Acquiring knowledge, skills, and qualifications for higher education or a future career.

2. Developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

3. Exploring various career options and discovering one's passions and interests.

4. Building social skills, making friends, and connecting with people from diverse backgrounds.

5. Fostering personal growth and development, including essential life habits and attitudes such as neatness, punctuality, conflict resolution, personal organization, time management, patience, emphathy, courtesy and respect for others. He said that these foundational skills help shape well-rounded individuals who are better equipped to succeed in all aspects of life.

6. Expanding one’s worldview and gaining new perspectives. As Dr. Emojevwe noted, “When individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and families converge, they bring unique perspectives, sparking new ideas and inspiration that can be nurtured and harnessed.”

7. Learning valuable lessons on business, finance, and responsible money management. The students gained insight into key financial concepts, including the difference between assets and liabilities, and were encouraged to develop good financial habits from a young age. As Dr. Emojevwe emphasized, “You're not too young to learn about business and money management!”

Dr. Emojevwe encouraged students to stay focused, avoid distractions, and make the most of their time in school. To reinforce this message, he awarded monetary gifts to students who participated in the discussion.

We invite parents and guardians to review these points with your children and reinforce the importance of education in their lives.

Best regards,

The Jenny School Team.

Dear learners,

Happy Tuesday

I want to remind you that learning and growth shouldn't stop just because we are on holiday.

Remember, your education extends beyond the classroom walls. Here are four key areas to focus on during your break:

1. *Be a Helping Hand at Home*: Your family needs you now more than ever! Assist with household chores, cook meals, care for younger siblings, or simply be present for your loved ones. These acts of kindness will not only strengthen family bonds but also teach you valuable life skills.

2. *Support Your Parents*: Your parents work hard to provide for you. Show appreciation by helping with errands, managing your belongings, or simply being respectful and understanding. This will help you develop empathy and responsibility.

3. *Stay Curious and Keep Learning*: Don't let your brain go on vacation! Engage in activities that spark curiosity:
- Read books or articles on topics you love
- Explore online courses or tutorials
- Practice problem-solving or critical thinking
- Learn a new skill or hobby

4. *Acquire High-Income Skills*: Invest in yourself by learning skills that can boost your future career prospects and earning potential. Consider:
- Coding or programming
- Digital marketing
- Graphic design
- Writing
- Website design and development
- Leadership or entrepreneurship
- Data analysis
- Videography and video editing
- Photography and photo editing
- Copywriting
- Content creation on social media and many more.

Remember, every small effort counts, and consistency is key. By focusing on these areas, you'll return to school refreshed, revitalized, and ready to tackle new challenges.

Make the most of your break, and I look forward to seeing you all soon!

Regards,

The Jenny School Team
