Before going for Registration, you should check the University of your choice and know if they offer the course you will want to study there before including it as your first choice or second choice as would be indicated in the registration form that would be given to you, upon the registration and amongst the necessary procedures.

When you enter JAMB examination hall, there alot of things to notice before you even start the exam, and the are some to do when you are doing them and also after you finish the exam for you to see your results.

Here are 5 Important things to do

1. Check the mouse of the system:

Immediately you sit on your seat number, the first thing to do is to check the functionality of the mouse before the starting time. If the mouse is not working well. Kindly raise up your hand to complain.

2. Check the keyboard:

First press your registration number to check if the important key you need is working well. If the key are not functioning well. Raise up your hand to tell the invigilators.

3. Check if the CPU is down:

If the CPU is down at your foot steps. Kindly position your legs well so that you won't off the CPU with your leg

4. Check the Submit button immediately after you login:

Immediately you login to start the exam, first check where the submit button is put on the screen of the system to avoid searching for after you finish.

5. Make sure you submit yourself before the given time:

Don't wait for the system to submit for you. Always check your time and submit before the end time.

Some tips you will need to Pass Your 2023 UTME

A. Plan ahead

“Failure to prepare is preparation to fail” goes a popular saying. Any student who has the intention on passing JAMB this year must understand that planning ahead of the exams is very crucial to his success. If you want to pass JAMB this year, you must ensure you prepare long before the time of the exams so you can cover a lot of topics that normally you would not have been able to cram shortly before the exams.

B. Draw Up A Timetable.

The importance of having a study timetable cannot be overemphasized. Every student who wishes to pass his or her exams very easily must have a study timetable drawn up to enable him or her coordinate his/her study period.

A timetable should include all the subject combination you chose when registering for your UTME. For example, your first choice course was mechanical engineering, your UTME subject combination should be: Mathematics, Use of English, Physics and Chemistry. These subjects should be allocated time accordingly when planning your study timetable.

C. Make Good Use of Past Questions

JAMB past questions has been a very good study material for students who wants to pass the exams. Questions have been known to be repeated over the years and studying past questions increases your chances of scoring very high in the JAMB CBT.

D. Practice How To Use the JAMB CBT Platform

A lot of student make the mistake of not knowing how to use the computer effective not to mention writing a Computer-Based Test with it. A student who wants to pass JAMB 2023 must have a basic knowledge on how to use the computer and how to work with the JAMB CBT Platform.

E. Take Care of Your Health

A lot of students study without having any concern for their health and that accounts for why a lot of students fall sick on the day of the exams. To prevent your hard work from being wasted by sickness, you should make provisions for keeping yourself in good health during your exam preparation.

What you need to know about JAMB 2023.

The Joint admission and matriculation board (JAMB) is a body charged with the responsibility of conducting entrance exam for prospective students into Nigeria Tertiary Institutions. The examination board council was founded in 1978. The examination is known as the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). It is usually a Computer based standardized examination designed to assess problem solving, knowledge of scientific concepts, critical reasoning and principles significance.

Who is qualified to sit for UTME?
Those who have:
i) Completed or about to complete full course of training in a Secondary School, technical college, teacher training college or an approved institution of equivalent status.
ii) Attained the age of sixteen years (16) or would have done so, by the first day of October in the year of his/her candidature.

When will JAMB 2023 Registration Commence?
UTME Registration begins from 14th January to 14th February, 2023.
DE Registration holds from 20th February to 20th April, 2023.

What are the credentials for JAMB 2023 Registration?
I) National Identification Number NIN
ii) O level result i.e Waec, Neco or GCE; those with awaiting result can also apply.
iii) Email and Phone Number.

How can Candidates apply?
Firstly, by sending NIN space their NIN Number to 55019 or 66019, e.g NIN 175171761 and there after get their Profile code via text message.

Afterwards, Candidates will be required to purchase UTME Registration E pin, either from Jamb Offices, Online Vendors or Authorized Banks and then proceed to Jamb approved CBT centres for proper registration.

I've written JAMB before, can I use the old profile code?
Yes u can, proceed with the profile code to vend ur Epin as JAMB won't give u a new one.

I lost my old profile code, how do I get it back?
Simply Text "Resend" to 55019 or 66019 via the Number you used earlier.

How many subjects will a Candidate write?
Four subjects, which include:
i) Compulsory use of English, which has 60 questions and three other subjects with 40 questions related to your intending course of study.

How long will JAMB Registration lasts?
For four weeks, keep over #6000 for E pin and Registration proper.

How many years can one use a UTME result for admission

As JAMB 2023 comes closer take note of this important information.

1. JAMB(UTME) questions is now 180 and here is the breakdown:
Use of English (60 Questions)
2nd Subject (40 Questions)
3rd Subject (40 Questions)
4th Subject (40 Questions)

2. You are to answer all these questions in 2 hours (120 minutes). Therefore, you need the speed of light to achieve this. I will advise you time yourself like this:
Use of English (40 mins).
2nd Subject (27 mins).
3rd Subject (27 mins).
4th Subject (26 mins).

In other words, you need about 40 seconds on each question during your JAMB examination.
